Putnam County is a great school! People are friendly and welcoming. The community is enthusiastic and engages in supporting the students and school. The administration and board are available for conversation and provide us with what we need to be successful in the classroom. The facilities are really nice, some of the best in the area. The majority of students are ready to learn and respectful, and the ones who aren't at times, there's typically an underlying reason, but once you build a relationship with them, they gain your trust and respect. It's a caring community. A safe place to teach, learn and live.

Small rural school with a big heart, caring community, supportive staff, tremendous teachers, fabulous facilities, and superb safety. As with any rural school, there is a lack of diversity compared to urban areas, but that is about the only flaw at this school. The teachers, staff, and administration care about the students, providing them with the best of what they have to give. The PTO is an active group and great support to the elementary teachers. There's a fun activity or organization for students to engage in, and plenty of celebrations throughout the year recognizing student achievements in academics, behavior, and character.
