9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy school is a very kind entity with parents kept in mind just as much as the children they teach. This is the first year my 3rd grader has attended Johnson Elementary and I find a great ease of mind in her transition. The leadership of the staff, working it's way down from the principal to the teachers, is with good attitude and confident attitudes which makes for a comfortable presentation. I feel welcome to come into the school when I know that issues can be dealt with in a positive manner without feeling guilty that issues occurred. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is just awful. I had to pull my child out due to the intense bullying my child went through and the fact they really did nothing about it. 10 out 10 I wouldn’t recommend.Parent Review2mo ago6 Reviews - Check out schools near Springleaf Ct.

"There are some safer areas very close to unsafe areas. Higher crime. Neighborhood watch signs. Children need to be monitored for safety and surveillance. "

"There are few to no sidewalks. Not safe for bike riding, unless children are supervised. About 10 minutes from groceries. Minutes away to both the 81 and 26 highway. Large Christian Church in the developmental stage of build within walking distance. Friendly neighborhood with many children of all ages. "

"My sister said the school system is good. I personally am not a fan of the chemical plant & the health damage it’s caused my children which is why I moved to Boston but my son & grandson lives in Kingsport so I have to visit and grin & bare it "

"The only thing I can think of is the road Lewis Lane can sometimes be congested because there is a Walmart and Lowes and a few other shops across the street from the neighborhood. Other than that, it's super nice, clean, and everyone is friendly!"

"Drugs and drug addicts on every corner in Kingsport. Lived in Kingsport for 8 months and in that very short time span, 2 people were killed within a mile radius of me. Made me very uneasy. Moved across state line to VA, and made a huge difference in the community, people, and neighborhoods. Much nicer just across the state line"

"Fifteen minute commute. Best feature of neighborhood. No real traffic. Need a car to get around. Not really about to ride your bike to work."

"I work downtown. The commute to downtown is only 15 minutes and traffic is light. People typically drive in this area and there is very little public transportation. There are bike lanes downtown and the Greenbelt links up so if you live near the Greenbelt you could ride a bike to work if you work downtown."
