It is a big house, framed in native 2x6 fir, with blown-in insulation. An upgraded LPG forced-air furnace fed from your own 500-gallon tank will keep you warm, with a Lopi wood stove and electric heat as back-up. When they sited houses in the 19th Century they knew about summer, and this home stays cool without air-conditioning. There are original hardwood floors; two full baths (one with jetted tub and tiled floor), four bedrooms, an eat-in kitchen, huge dining room and living room, and a study/office/library as well as a laundry room with big walk-in storage closets. It is a one-minute walk to the Crystal River, in the Waupaca School District, just 40 minutes from Appleton, 40 minutes to Oshkosh, 30 minutes to Stevens Point, 50 minutes to Wausau or 55 minutes to Green Bay ? or work from home, as the house is wired for cable/internet. There is an over-size garage/shop and attached shed, both insulated and heated with a walk-in cooler. Seller ran a wholesale flower farm, and there is a separate well for the gardens. Seller spent tens of thousands on infrastructure upgrades, including new well, exterior paint, electrical and plumbing improvements, finish the interior restoration to your liking to own an historical treasure. Investment possibility: House is leased to reliable tenant (who would stay if you like, or leave on 30 days notice). Acreage includes appx. 7.5-acre separate parcel that may be sub-divided. see additional photos below property features- Attic- Barbecue area- Cable-ready- Ceiling fans - Double pane / Storm windows- Garden- Jetted tub- Lawn- Porch- RV parking community features- Storage Availableadditional photos Back porch enters mudroom to kepp dirt of your hardwood floors. "Nice friendly community, plenty of lakes for water activities...this town offers many festivals and events all year...nice shops, you can walk your dog at midnight throughout this town without fear!"

"I was raised on the chain o' lakes, and continue to reside on one of these beautiful connected lakes. The Waupaca/King area is a beautiful, safe, and very natural place to reside. The kind of people who live here, especially in the Chain O' Lakes area, are some of the nicest and most friendly people around. True to Wisconsin "stereotypes", Waupaca area residents will always go to the extreme to help a neighbor and a stranger just the same. This is a real "Downtown Town" at its core, and absolutely provides more than enough scenery and entertainment in its outskirting Chain O Lakes/King area. King is the link between Waupaca and the Chain, and provides a fun bars, great restaurants, and endless small shops along its main strip - just about 2 miles from this home. The Wheelhouse and Indian X-ing Casino are even closer, providing great lake-front pizza and weekend entertainment. A whole day (or more) can be spent blissfully cruising the lower Chain O Lakes, pontoon boating, water skiing, tubing, or by wave runner - with stops at Clearwater Harbor for dockside service, or swimming at Gov't Island's sandy shores. If you prefer motorless boating, kayak the upper Chain, and you are sure to see nature almost frozen in time, as our past natives once enjoyed. Dings Dock provides river trips right off Long Lake (which is viewed by this house) My in-laws have lived on Tammy Trail for over 2 decades and it is the perfect place to live year-round or seasonally. This home in particular is one of the most beautiful homes on the lakes, and it has view of a lake on either side - very rare to find. The lot is a nice size and the view is remarkable. The road is a dead-end, with only 3 homes immediately surrounding this one. If I had $1.6Million, this would be my house!!!"
