5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMcBride has been an excellent school. We have been liking it a lot more than our previous school in another city. Our children have all had great teachers. They've helped them succeed. Even during the shutdown they made sure they were doing the best they could be. We have one child with an IEP for speech. He needed help as well for reading and was able to make great progress to catch up.Parent Review3y ago5 Reviews - St Helens Middle School

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a student at this school. I’m disappointed, A lot of the teachers are nice to a degree, But I’m Extremely disappointed in the Princpal. And Staff members, along with the Counslers. I just wish this school was better, along with the bathrooms. Half of the time the toilets aren’t flushed. They have something in it, that’s gross. And it genuinely makes me sick to my stomach. Not to the fact, that The girls bully each other. Make fun of each other if you’re not “pretty” or popular. Because everyone is beautiful and unique. But Along with boys they think it’s funny to Sexualize the girls. And make them feel insecure. But the girls Most of them can be nice, but some aren’t. They can make fun about everything about you. I’ve had some mean girls, be rude to me. And my friends, saying “I’m ugly” and Stupid. Even my friends have had the same problems.! So don’t GO TO THIS SCHOOL!, because there is so many fights. And all they do is Suspend the kid who starts the fight for 3 to 5 days, but then the kid who defends themselves, gets Suspended for a week or the same amount of days. It’s unfair, and the school system is messed up.Student Review1mo ago11 Reviews - St Helens High School

"Way too much traffic due to increased population, there’s plenty of accidents due to it. People drive recklessly too and have road rage. Community is growing bigger way too fast to handle it all."

"Many people walk their dogs daily, but some let their dogs out, unattended & they can cause problems, such as, dogs not being cleaned up after. But, for the most part, it’s a great place for dogs. "

"Nice small quiet town. Hardly any good restaurants or stores currently in St.Helens but the town is moving up economically so that will change soon, especially with the development of Columbia View Park. Affordable place to live with the gorgeous Columbia river as our playground."

"Small dog park very close by. Large off-leash dog park (McCormack) is also close and has a creek. Traffic is minimal. Most people in this neighborhood have dogs and are friendly to them."

"This is big city living in a small town. I was born and raised in St Helens and raised my kids here. My grand kids all live here and being raised here too. St Helens schools are not the best unfortunately but in Scappoose they are fantastic educationally and sports"

"We dont have any events. The waterfront has 13 nights on the river. It can be fun depending on the band playing. Halloween town is way too crowded for a disabled person to get around."
