9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe individual teachers range from excellent to fairly lackluster, but the reason for my poor rating is the absolute lack of perspective in the administration. During my Eighth (8) grade year, I was one of the ~10 victims of a very serious offense committed by another student. When I brought the incidents to the administration, they did punish the perpetrator, however; it was a punishment far below the minimum stated in the CISD Student Handbook. The perpetrator then later attempted to reframe a separate incident to look like I and another 2 students were “bullying” him, when, in fact; me and one of the other students were merely in the same room when the incident occurred, and the reason for the punishment they attempted to give me [2 days of In School Suspension (ISS)] was that I, “did not discourage [student who actually was responsible] from [doing what he did].”.In the end, we had to take the issue up with the superintendent, as the district’s disciplinary secretary said, and this is a direct quote, “I personally know [AP in charge of the incident], and I do not believe that he would punish anyone unfairly.”.Due to this whole fiasco, I was forced to serve a 1 hour after school detention, which was later struck from my record due to it being unfairly assigned. After the entire incident was resolved, my mother called my AP to inquire about the steps being taken to prevent a similar incident from occurring again. The only action taken was a stay-away agreement between me and the perpetrator. Nothing other action was taken. In conclusion, the school and teacher, for the most part, provide an excellent learning environment, but the administration’s failure to effectively address the misconduct that occurs on a regular basis certainly sours the experience of most students. This same AP who managed my case is also known throughout the student body for generally assigning harsher punishments to students of color.Other Review9mo ago8 Reviews - Collins Intermediate School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLiterally the best school both of my children have ever attended. We have moved a lot, my kids have been to about 5 different schools in Texas and another state. Collins is by far the best of all the schools they’ve attended. Academically challenging, great support from the counselors/SPED, and just an overall good vibe to the school. The principal is thoughtful and engaged with kids. The teachers have all been wonderful and communicative. They have fun afterschool events for the kids that are well organized. They honor children from each grade/learning community every month with a “Colossal Cobra” award, and parents are invited to a short awards ceremony. Things like this mean a lot to the children and their parents, makes everyone feel connected and invested in the school. We are thrilled that both of our kids landed here and had such a great experience.Parent Review1y ago14 Reviews - College Park High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe counselor and most of the teachers completely disregarded my son’s 504 accommodations. My son failed English mostly due to the lack of his accommodations. I tried to call to sign him up for summer school, it went to voicemail. I left a voicemail asking the counselor to call me back so that I could set it up and my call was never returned. Because of this I switched him to another school.Parent Review8mo ago11 Reviews - David Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs parents who are both highly educated professionals, we take our child’s development and well-being very seriously. That’s why our experience with David Elementary School, specifically in one kindergarten classroom, was so deeply concerning and we feel compelled to share our experience, specifically regarding a kindergarten teacher, Amy Perez. Our son attended this school for just three weeks in 2024, and it was one of the most difficult and distressing experiences our family has gone through. In that short time, we saw a dramatic change in him. He lost interest in activities he had always loved—soccer, tennis, and art—and began having emotional outbursts that were completely out of character. He became withdrawn and no longer seemed like himself. What made this even more concerning is that he never complained during that time. He is a kind and sensitive child, and it wasn’t until months later, after we had already transferred him back to private school, that he shared that his teacher had been yelling at him.The transformation after leaving was immediate. Within a week of returning to a supportive environment, he was back to his joyful, engaged self—excelling again in sports, art, and academics. He is a bright, bilingual child who reads and speaks both English and Russian, and thrives when treated with encouragement and respect. As parents, we were deeply troubled not only by his experience but also by the final note we received from the "teacher" stating that he “lacked social skills.” This did not reflect the child we know, nor the child he quickly returned to being once removed from that environment.Every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and respected at school. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here.Parent Review1mo ago11 Reviews - Check out schools near Silver crescent Cir.

"Very dog friendly, with lots of parks and walking trails. Many neighborhoods have dog parks and provide bags and trash cans to clean up after your pet. This is the best neighborhood I’ve ever lived in! I love it here!"

"I grew up in this neighborhood. We had block parties every Halloween and all came together for hurricanes. I had so many friends that lived so close and we were always able to walk to school. I loved growing up here. "

"Schools in the area are fantastic. Our neighborhood in particular has kids that get together in the summer to play kick the can and capture the flag. Look for neighborhoods in Alden Bridge that are cul de sac neighborhoods. Don’t live on a street that has two outlets. "

"Our neighborhood watch coordinator has mad skills, keeping us appraised of new people moving in, and working hard to create a sense of community. Clovergate has a special Halloween potluck for everyone before the kids go trick-or-treating. "

"so far as I know, there is no public transportation within Alden Bridge. The commute to Houston is long. There is a park - n - ride here, but it only stops in a few stops in Houston and the last time I used it, it ended pretty early in the evening. "

"Lived here for nine years. My children would go out with the neighborhood kids to play kick the can and capture the flag. They ranged in age from 4 to 14, and would play until well after dark. Safe, happy, warm summers. "
