9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageRampant left wing ideology and Critical Race Theory. Book about gay kissing being forced on children. Children asked if they like books about gay kids coming out (in 8th grade…) and then asked to make that book into a children’s book as an assignment. Learning about microaggressions in Social Studies. When I opted my child out of mental health surveys (which the school has no business asking questions about) school didn’t listen and tried verbally asking the same survey questions. My child was asked if they “are attending therapy” for their social anxiety and when responded no, was asked if they “planned on attending therapy for social anxiety”. This was in front of other students within ear shot. (Also not any of the school’s business) Just homeschool your children.Parent Review3y ago6 Reviews - Meadowbrook Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love this school for my kids and my kids love this school too. I'll start off to say we are Native American. And my children are treated just as fairly as the other students. We are a low income family and the school social worker has worked very hard to help us out with resources in situations where we needed it (winter clothes, energy assistance ect.) My son was very behind on reading because he was in virtual learning in the 2020-2021 school year (thanks covid). He was put in a block for 30 minutes a day for a small group or one on one reading lessons which helped GREATLY and in 3 semesters he's caught up to the rest of his peers in reading and writing. My daughter had some behavioral blocks going into kindergarten and they set her up with the school counselor which has also greatly improved her school experience. The teachers are great and understanding. And I greatly appreciate everyone who works together with our family to meet our goals academically. Even emotionally my daughter can be standoffish with some people, it was making her anxious to go to school. I asked for a conference with her teacher regarding this and we came up with a plan to help her feel more comfortable at school. Overall this school is amazing. I've wanted to move because my apartment isn't ideal for us at this time but because the school has been so amazing and the kids love going to this school we have decided to stick around a little longer. Communication with the teachers and staff is SO important when it comes to making sure you and your children's voices are heard and I might add CIVIL communication. No school is perfect, but their willingness to understand and help my children and I has been absolutely outstanding.Parent Review3y ago5 Reviews - Suamico Elementary School

I am impressed by the philosophy of having a transitional school between elementary and middle school.Parent Review5y ago3 Reviews - Bay Harbor Elementary School

"Lots of people walk there dogs around the neighborhood daily, only downside is some areas don’t have sidewalks so you are forced to walk yours dogs on the road if your rout includes those blocks"

"Trunk or treat for little ones. Feel safe allowing kids to play with neighbors within your neighborhood. Feel safe allowing older kids to ride bikes to local stores, knowing drivers in the area look out for them."

"This area used to have deer, and a whole lot of turkeys. It was like your own piece of the woods. Now they are clearing the land to make way for more apartments. This just sucks. The reason I choose this area was because of the woodsy look. "

"Beautiful community! Safe neighborhood, friendly neighbors, gorgeous views of the Mountain Bay Trail, large green space area. They take care of all the shoveling, snow removal and lawn work. Great place to live. "

"Currently living here, condos in the middle of nowhere. No stores or shopping within 5 miles. Only a bar across the street for restaurant services. Traffic flies down this road, no shoulders, no sidewalks. Too much constant construction. Not quiet at all."

"This beautiful, uniquely designed neighborhood is nestled in a scenic, peaceful setting, yet is close to conviences such as restaurants, stores, Howard schools, and the YMCA. Ideal for anyone who loves the outdoors, it is also within easy walking distance to parks, nature trails, and even the Mountain Bay Trail. The people are friendly and their properties are beautifully maintained. This neighborhood really can't be beat!"
