9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has gone to New Albany schools from pre-k through 7th grade and we plan to be there through graduation. It has been a great experience with the administration, teachers, counselors, and the PTO. My only complaint is that many of the sports are still steeped in nepotism of the coaches.Parent Review2mo ago13 Reviews - New Albany Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMoving here with my children, I had high expectations on the quality of education they would receive. Sadly, the bullying going on in the schools followed by the lack of leadership, my children hate attending school and can't focus on getting a quality education due to the constant harassment. Meetings and letters to the principle and Super going nowhere. My child attempted to find resolution on her own, but was left feeling mocked by the admin, and worse, this was done in front of the other child. It is a city and school district where few have overcome adversity and their daily problems are broken finger nails or a flat tire on the BMW. Unless you are a millionaire or enjoy the obstacles of disrespectful people, I would look elsewhere.Parent Review4y ago11 Reviews - New Albany Early Learning Center

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son attended this school last year and the year prior and is currently at the 2-5 building. The experience that we had far exceeded my expectations. I was at the school once weekly and I was always impressed at how respectful the teachers were to the students and vice versa. Not only does this school exceed academically, but they place a lot of emphasis on social skills, respect, managing emotions, cultural and religious differences and tolerance of others. My son never complained about going to school. He loved every day and his teachers both years were wonderful. I noticed that there were a few comments regarding too much parent involvement. I don't get that. Many schools would give anything to get the parents more involved. Regarding the teachers' inexperience mentioned by another reviewer. Most of the teachers are young, but seriously?! They ALL have bachelors degrees and 68% have a masters degree or higher. Judging teaching ability by age is prejudiced and inaccurate. I wish more people would spend some actual time in their child's school before they start finding things to criticize.Parent Review13y ago7 Reviews - New Albany Primary School

"There’s a dog park in the neighborhood that’s part of the Metro Park system. There are also lots of walking trails, sidewalks and smaller neighborhood parks. Dogs are generally well trained and walked on leashes. Most dog owners pick up after their dogs. I don’t hear loud barking at night. Invisible Fences are popular in New Albany. "
