I had 2 kids graudate from here. Though times have changed, it has given me some time to think about my past review. This school had a lot of activities for the kids, both of mine graudated with honors and are doing well in life. Some problems exist, but problems exist at ever school. Including the other schools who just hide their problems better. This was a well rounded community. As a parent you just have to be involved. My kids never felt unsafe or experienced bullying at this school. I never felt scared to send them to this school. One of my kids had a 504 plan and the school worked really well with me in installing the plan and maintaing the plan, because I was an involved parent. If you treat the school like a babysitter than yeah you probably will get diffrent results.

This is hands down the worst school experience I’ve ever had as a parent. I’m originally from North Carolina, and after going through elementary, middle, high school, and college, I have never dealt with administration this rude, dismissive, and unprofessional.Communication is a constant issue. Calls and emails go unanswered, and when you do reach out, you’re basically told to wait 24–48 hours for a response. Even then, you still have to call back and follow up yourself just to get basic answers. It feels like parents are not taken seriously.What scares me most is student safety. My child has been harmed by other students, and the school didn’t even contact me. I only found out when my child walked through the door at home. That is unacceptable. Parents should never be the last to know when something happens involving their child.Also, be extremely careful with transportation. A substitute bus driver removed my child’s yellow tag from her bookbag (the tag that helps ensure kids are dropped off correctly), and my child was not dropped off at home. This happened with a male substitute driver. As a parent, that’s terrifying and completely avoidable with proper procedures and accountability.I do not feel confident that this school prioritizes student safety, respectful communication, or basic responsibility. I’m actively working on getting my child out, and I strongly suggest other parents do serious research before sending their child here. If you can prevent your child from attending this school, please do.

This school is okay. I wouldn't recommend it, but some things are okay. My first complaint is the teachers. Some teachers can be really good and very annoying. The teaching is okay. Many teachers give out notes and expect students to study it. I say this because I am a victim of this. Some teachers can be very lazy and not teach at all. My second complaint is the guidelines and rules. I don't get why we can only go to the vending machine in homeroom. Some students come late and dont have the opportunity to buy anything. If anyone buys anything past homeroom, will get suspended or detention. This rule isn't too serious, but something to be considered. My last complaint will be the phone rule. Students aren't allowed to be seen with phones ever. We aren't even allowed to have it on the bus port. All phones must be kept in our lockers, which isn't fair. I know it can cause distractions, but only if it can be used for free time. The worst part is that if students are seen with phones, they take it so the parent can pick it up. However, pick up time is not allowed past 4:30. This is not fair at all because many parents aren't off work yet. Not many advantages to this school, except for the air days and PBIS stores.
