3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFormer student of this school, here's what you need to know.Be aware that students get into fights in the beginning of the school year, but it wears off pretty fast. Students are known to make fun of students who don't "fit in", based on the way they talk, look, and dress.School bathrooms can be very dangerous, but it can vary. It's usually empty or closed out.Teachers are known to be really nice with kids, especially some teachers can be "hip with the kids". They might've been viewed as cringe by the students but they are trying their best to keep the classroom experience engaging, which is great. The school has promoted anti-bullying services in presentations. But it's pretty unsurprising that it doesn't work out very well.In summary, this is about an average Middle School. Kids in town say Lee is better than Douglass.Student Review11mo ago5 Reviews - Plainfield Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat school! I moved all three of my kids from another woodland school to Plainfield. Best decision for us. Principal is hands on and great. They have a lot of activities for students and my kids love Band and their Art class. The ladies at the front desk are always friendly and extra helpful.Parent Review3y ago6 Reviews - Woodland Senior High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school provided me an excellent foundation in my collegiate endeavors. I had a great experience and had a great relationship with staff and administration. I love how this school comes from a long line of tradition. During my time there the staff really cared and help students succeed in whatever they wanted to do.Other Review10mo ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near Ruby Way.

"There are plenty of large open parks in the area, large fields, and sidewalks. There is also a good amount of small wildlife, so I would keep my dog on a leash. "

"I’m not sure. I do not live here. Just visiting family. Last time I lived here was 11 years ago. I guess fireworks at the high school on 4th of July. Christmas parade. Whole earth festival in Davis. Those were all fun for me growing up in woodland. "

"There is not much traffic and you must have a car to get around. Many smaller 2 lane highways to get to the larger highway. "

"I-5 runs right through the town, 10 miles west of Sacramento Int’l Airport. It’s the last substantial town until Redding on I-5. Convenient to drive to Sacramento (20 minutes) with no traffic. 113 takes you straight to Davis (8 miles south) and I-80 to the SF Bay Area (70 miles west)"

"Just moved here I have worked here though. No idea what parents should know. Parts are friendly but not all parts. I am hoping my new neighbors are nice and will at least acknowledge my presence. I hate when people look the other way when I pass by them."

"Nice sidewalks and parks, but not many restaurants with outside seating that is dog friendly. Outside of the suburbs, such as close to 102, it's hard to walk dogs."

"I think parents should know that it is safe in woodland to let your kids walk to school. I’m not saying woodland is all the way safe but MUCH safer than other towns I’ve lived in. "

"Established older homes which are gorgeous! I love how many retirees are out gardening and walking around during the daytime. The younger families are more active after working hours but overall a quiet area which is safer than it can look depending on foot traffic. "
