9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI see why they have their google reviews turned off. This school does not care about my childs safety as they put him on the bus incorrectly twice, leaving a 5Year old to fend for himself and walk home. He only had homework twice this school year, for about two months that’s it.Parent Review2mo ago13 Reviews - Mallard Creek High

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter is in her second year here and I can say it is one of the better high schools in CMS. The few incidents they had were handled promptly and effectively. Teachers are not as involved and it’s harder for the students to contact them if they need something however this school offers a lot both academic and sports.Parent Review11mo ago10 Reviews - Ridge Road Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHi, I’m a former student of Ridge Road Middle School, and I want to share my experience. The school was very different from what many parents might expect. Students struggled to learn because some teachers were often disengaged, using their phones, eating, or talking about students instead of teaching. There were frequent fights, and many students were harassed without effective intervention.Several teachers left due to student behavior, and many of the remaining staff did not seem adequately prepared or qualified to handle the environment. Based on what I experienced, I would not recommend this school for students.Student Review7mo ago27 Reviews - Check out schools near Ridge Rd.

"That their kids are a bunch of rude and disrespectful and should get their asses whooped cause that’s mainly what’s wrong with my neighborhood is the damn kids going around acting like bunch of wild animals with no home training "

"I have lived in this neighborhood for five years—up to the present, 2026. Every week, you hear gunshots and police sirens, and—unfortunately—car thefts occur. , the HOA issues weekly fines for minor infractions, and the rent keeps going up. Overall, the area isn't bad, provided you have a strong heart."

"Lots of new young families moving into the area. Older Crosland-built homes but many have been renovated inside, and some have larger lots. The neighborhood is in a great location with easy navigation in and out (esp. during rush hour). A taste of “affordable” living in the wedge surrounded by much higher-priced real estate."

"You definitely need a car to get a around Charlotte. There is transportation, but I would not recommend using it as there are safety concerns I would recommend having your own vehicle and driving."

"This is a good neighborhood. The neighbors are very nice and the area is pleasant. There is a heavy flow of traffic in the morning and afternoon but other than that it’s pretty normal. I’ve been here for 8 months and I enjoy the area. "
