5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThey only have 1 math tutor for 4+5th grade who can only spend time with students who are TWO grade levels behind. They will put your child in ELA tutoring even when they get straightAs and not even tell you about it. The common core workbooks are awful and even when your child is doing well in general, the worksheets will make them appear as they are failing and some teachers will respond with “it’s ok to fail and struggle” or “I gave them a 10/100 for effort” and then explain how your children doesn’t need extra help. They are only a small handful of teachers there who are phenomenal. Also, they do fun run boosterthons to raise up to $15,000 for school supplies every year and still ask for school supply donations such as paper and still don’t have enough tutors. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy minor son, a freshman, was injured during a PE class after being pushed mid-air by an 18-year-old senior who was not even in the class and had just been released from weightlifting.My son required medical care and has been in a splint for weeks, dealing with pain and missed activities. He faced real consequences.The student who caused the injury faced no known disciplinary action.Instead of accountability, the school focused on deflection and treating a disputed version of events as fact. The response appeared more concerned with protecting the school than protecting students.Parents deserve transparency and accountability when their children are injured at school. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is actually horrible. It seems like the janitors don't even want to do their job because the teachers are always saying not to make a mess because the janitors will have to clean it up. The food in the lunchroom literally tastes like solid concrete and it has the texture of it too. It's like they don't even hate it and it's still frozen, sometimes the line takes so long that people don't even get to eat their lunch some of the staff are so OCD that if you entered the wrong door they'll yell at you and make you go through it again The "right" way. I swear some people only work there to see kids suffer and you can tell last year a janitor actually thought that it was acceptable to yell at my class for not doing anything and got us in trouble. The school likes to waste money on niche. Little devices like smartpass. The only allow you to use the bathroom for 5 minutes. So if you need to use the bathroom other than to pee you shouldn't even bother. And since the school likes wasting money other than things that are useless, the band program suffers from it and we don't even have any money to buy new instruments so we sound horrible. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs per my previous reviews, my experience with this school is rubbish. I MISSED MY DAUGHTER'S PLAY FOR THANKSGIVING because they didnt mention there would be one, nor what day or time it may be! Picking her up from school was terrible on the few days that she needed to be picked up, because you have to wait in this 'breezeway' area for a long amount of time outside in whatever weather there may be and file into the cafeteria in a mob that is almost impossible to get out of. I have so many negative comments about thus school, it's ridiculous. I cant get all of them out. That should say A LOT about this place.Parent Review6y ago
