Put the info in the kiosk, sit down and wait. If you ring to enter the office to confirm your child has been called ring the bell and talk into the speaker, be answered tersely. This the most inhospitable educational facility ever encountered. My child is begging to be home schooled due to the negative atmosphere. This is the pervasive attitude throughout the district, from administrative offices onward.Parent Review8mo ago9 Reviews - Piedmont Middle School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBullying at this school is the highest I've ever seen. The teacher leaves the room and the kids gang up on the kid the head mean girl decides to pick on and then follow through the halls harrassing the same kid. The school just tries to cover it up, doesn't report it and misinforms parents. My kid still has a stigma against her because her bully took to social media to lie about her and most everyone still believes she did it. She did not. The police department even investigated and found the truth. The schools' email didn't express the innocence of my poor kid. I would steer anyone away from MSP and PHS, unless your kid is a star in yhe sports arena... then you will be totally fine.Parent Review2y ago5 Reviews - Northwood Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNorthwood is a terrific school with teachers and administrators who go above and beyond to ensure their students enjoy coming to school and learning. My suggestion for all families is to get involved, attend the events with your kids, and be proactive and professional with any concerns or suggestions you have for improvement and/or change.Parent Review2y ago5 Reviews - Piedmont Intermediate Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSome positives are that the front entrance seemed very safe and the front office staff was very friendly and helpful. However, our overall our experience at this school was not very good. My son was in advanced classes at his previous school, but this school does not offer any advanced classes so he was forced to repeat material he already learned. Communication with his assigned counselor was terrible and I had to reach out to the vice principal for assistance in enrolling him in LEAP. Communication with the other school staff was positive. Meet-the-teacher was just going to the rooms and scanning a barcode to view a pre-recorded message which was impersonal and not ideal. Very little communication from the teachers during the school year. Some bullying. School buses are so crowded that students sometimes have to sit on the floor. School is overcrowded for the capacity of tornado shelters. One of his teacher did not allow students to ask questions??? So my son struggled even though science is one of his favorite subjects. The teacher later quit, which left my son with substitutes for several months, but the teacher who eventually replaced him was good. My son felt that students at this school were excessively disruptive as compared to other schools he attended. School focus seems to be more on athletics rather than academics. My son did like the fact that he never had homework.Parent Review2y ago3 Reviews - Piedmont Early Childhood Center

"We don’t have them. We only have garage sales for the community. Czech festival is very popular and the Christmas light display in the park is a big hit. "

"No sidewalks, the park in our neighborhood is well maintained and some allow their dogs run the park and others don’t like it. They are just jealous because they don’t use it to run their dogs. "

"Ive been here 4 years. Thankful for the community. Little over priced for the square footage I live in. Have really good neighbors. A little theft here and there but for the most part it’s a good safe place. "

"Very tight knit community. Really enjoy how the community comes together for different things. It’s been hard for us to leave here even though we need a bigger house. That says a lot. "

"I truly love living in my safe, family-friendly neighborhood. It offers a sense of peace and community that’s becoming increasingly rare in today’s world. The streets are quiet and well-maintained, and I feel completely at ease letting my children play outside or walk to a neighbor’s house. Everyone looks out for one another, creating a strong sense of belonging and connection. The local parks, schools, and community events foster a warm, inclusive atmosphere where families can thrive. It’s comforting to know that my home is in a place where safety, kindness, and family values are a priority. I’m grateful every day to be part of such a welcoming and supportive environment. "

"Commute isn’t terrible. Being close to I-40 helps. Traffic on the area is increasing due to new shopping center nearby and added traffic lights, but having retailers nearby had significantly improved the outer appeal of the neighborhood. "

"many school zones and traffic stops but the people are friendly and police don’t hassle you! i’ve lived here my whole life and besides some construction that needs to be done and how clustered it can get from 2-4pm it’s not too bad! 35mph most of the way through so it’s a bit slow but overall not too bad compared to some places.
