It does not get any better. Great parent involvement, great inspiring teachers, and a great principal. All of the children are well behaved, love the school and are inspired to learn. Compared to other public schools, this school stands tall and I credit the learning environment to the entire staff at Shepherdstown elementary.

"Very close knit community. Everyone is very friendly. Fun fact, Shepherdstown was considered as one of the possible locations for our nation's capital and it is arguably the birthplace of the United States Army as the first Colonial troops began training in what is now Morgans Grove Park."

"Walk to Shep U library, bank, P.O., bike to Food Lion for groceries. Safe, friendly, private. Park across the street, near C & O Canal.Easy train commute to DC. Wildlife habitat, zoning allows some domestic animals such as chickens. Think sustainability, quiet."
