5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur son attended Yucca Elementary from 2008 (K) to 2013 (5th grade). He was identified as being gifted in 1st grade and advanced a year ahead in 2012. He always enjoyed going to this school. Communication with teachers, principal and gifted program facilitators was excellent. We became part of an advisory board of parents that contributed to the gifted program. Our few concerns we had about some policies were addressed and taken seriously. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a teacher, I have been to a dozen others schools in Colorado and New mexico, I keep a list of schools I would work at as a substitute teacher. Also a list of those I would never go back to. Mountain View is on the list I would never return to. They have great teachers , but lots of discipline issues that substitute teachers won't come there or will quit. I have submitted my resignation already. I’m not trying to walk into a cloud when using the bathroom. some teachers have unfair advantages for others and also do not teach at a level that helps students actually prepare to graduate.Student Review2mo ago
