Albemarle High School is known for its focus on academic excellence, community spirit, and a culture of "PRIDE" (Prepared, Respectful, Involved, Dependable, Excellence). The school offers programs like AVID and dual enrollment, and has been working on a turnaround journey to improve student achievement and culture. Great strides have been made in the past four years in improvement in all areas including academics, safety, climate, and school spirit. AHS aims to help every student succeed by showing up, believing in themselves, and giving their best effort.There is a strong emphasis on family involvement as a key part of student success.

My experience at this school so far id say has been good but not too great because ive experienced bullying for the past 2 years and told multiple of the adults there even the principal but they litteraly didnt do anything. This year I havent seen or experienced any bullying but there are still some fights verbal bullying or physical bullying such as touching each other and mostly their in the hallways during transition to next class and the teachers don't pay much attention worrying more about keeping the students in a straight line.

I have a daughter that will be starting kindergarten. Looking forward to a wonderful year.
