"Community Halloween parade, costume judging with prizes from Lions Club; Community Center offers classes, food bank, election polling place; Christmas tree lighting with Christmas carols by students; rubber duck races in creek through town benefiting charity; local library branch offering programs for adults and children; local churches; Lucas is a great place for children to grow up, be educated, participate in sport and extracurricular activities.
