7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter transferred to Tomball High School at her junior year after moving to Texas. She previously attended Hinsdale Central High School Illinois, one of the highest-ranked public high schools in Illinois, where she earned an exceptional 4.2 GPA, the highest GPA scale offered. Her official transcript clearly documented all grades and coursework.Despite this, Tomball High School downgraded her GPA to 3.8 without any clear explanation or justification. We were never provided with a transparent reason for this reduction, even though her academic record was complete and verifiable. This unexplained downgrade was deeply concerning and unfair. In addition, my daughter had already completed Algebra I at Hinsdale Central, yet Tomball High School required her to retake Algebra I, unnecessarily repeating coursework she had already passed. This decision caused a significant academic delay, directly impacting her progress toward college readiness. The GPA downgrade and improper credit transfer negatively affected her college applications and scholarship opportunities. Had her GPA been transferred accurately, she would have been eligible for more competitive colleges and additional scholarships. Years of hard work and dedication were effectively diminished in an instant. This experience was extremely disappointing and frustrating for our family. The lack of transparency, improper evaluation of transcripts, and disregard for prior academic achievements made this one of the worst educational experiences we have encountered. Students transferring from rigorous, high-performing schools deserve fair, accurate, and respectful treatment. Unfortunately, that was not our experience with Tomball High School.Parent Review3mo ago9 Reviews - Timber Creek Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageUnfortunately, we didn’t have a good experience at the school, especially with two teachers. It’s a shame because there are definitely great teachers on staff, but the ones we had did not seem to understand child psychology. I honestly don’t know how they managed an elementary class—they had very little patience or kindness, which was frustrating, especially since communication between teachers and parents was also poor and should be improved. The pickup process in the extreme heat wasn’t ideal either, and it was sad to see the kids standing outside under such harsh conditions.Parent Review1y ago13 Reviews - Creekside Park Junior High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average3 of my 4 children have attended this school with my youngest gets there now. All have been involved in academics, athletics and extracurricular activities. They love the school, and I have could their teachers and coaches/instructors to be very engaged and caring. I have not heard of any bullying from my kids, or any of their friends or those friends’ parents. The administration has always been accessible for any concerns I have ever had regarding my kids’ performance and grades in school. I will honestly be sad, when my youngest graduates at the end of this coming school year, as it’s been a pleasure getting to know the teachers and staff here.Parent Review7mo ago7 Reviews - Check out schools near Pine plains Dr.

"Have lived in this neighborhood for 25 years. Many changes have taken place. We watched it transition from a newer suburb to a maturing neighborhood. Although the area is much more busy, it remains a pocket of neighborhood life with the many top notch amenities of an urbanized community within a short drive."

"Nice neighborhood Kids play around during the holidays and on weekends. Neighbors are very friendly and helpful. Everyone drives carefully and slow to watch out for kids and pets. The street lights are sometimes not maintained well by the utility companies.Other than that everything is really cool and safe."
