Description

PRISTINE PINE ISLAND PARADISE
ON LONG LAKE
IN NAPLES, M/AINE

Come experience privacy, tranquility and the adventure of owning an island on a 4800 acre lake that abounds with endless recreational activities. Savor the early morning sunrises and end the day with spectacular sunsets after a day of fishing for salmon, togue, bass, trout or pickerel. Pine Island is one acre in size and about three miles from the public landing or marina. There's a cozy Hansel and Gretel style cottage with an upstairs sleeping loft, surrounded by cathedral pines that stretch to the sky with meandering paths around the island. Permitting is already in place for renovations or expansion due to the grandfathered footprints on all buildings. The septic system is already in place along with the convenience of a service barge to commute supplies to the island from the mainland. The barge makes it very convenient to set moorings and to help maintain the swim zone area with the island offering approximately 1000' of private water frontage without any abutting owners. The seller is in the process of renovating and expanding the structures on the island and is progressing forward with his plans. Loons nesting on the beach are your only neighbors while the sun sets over the White Mountains to the west and rises with a salmon-colored hue over white pines in the east. On the far side of the island step out onto a large, flat granite rock left by glaciers that created the White Mountains and carved out bodies of water in the Sebago Lake Region. Pine Island offers sandy areas for swimming, a great area to dock your boat, and breathtaking starlit nights. The island is conveniently located from the Portland Jetport to the lake by vehicle then by boat to the island. All amenities are conveniently located in the heart of the Sebago Lake Region in the town of Naples for shopping or dining. Pricing reflects renovation stages.

"The vibe here on the island is peace, relaxation and fun. everybody seems to have a boat and everyone seems to love fishing. Lots of great restaurants to eat at and able to go to by boat. Most people here are adults and they are very few children except for some grandchildren."
• Eugeneb
"All kinds of events and special festivals too many to list here. Parades, dinners, flea markets, fishing tournaments."
• K R.
"We have an American Legion, VFW and a Moose and Elks. There is always things to do and good meals to eat."
• Eugeneb
"Block parties and many other events, fishing tournaments, fund new raisers and festivals. Parades celebrations of all the holidays. Flea markets and secondhand stores."
• Eugeneb
"Everyone is friendly it’s like living in Mayberry. Very safe no crime. It’s just the most wonderful place to live."
• Jessica G.
"Everyone walks their dogs here at least once a day. There are a lot of old dogs, so puppies need to be careful. Dogs must be on a leash in this area and there’s no real dog park nearby. There are snakes and gators in and near wooded areas, so be aware!"
• Theislandretreat
"If you are really looking for somewhere to get away from it all, Pine Island is the place. There are ZERO traffic lights, it's quiet, and there are no high rises or major commercial outfits on the island. This island was thankfully left alone in the ramping up of virtually every other developed coastline. You hear and see the bald eagles, seahawks, pelicans, dolphin and manatee, something again which is rare in other communities. Tropical nurseries populate the island, the fishing is out of this world and the rest you get from the hustle and bustle is unmatched. Though remote, you have everything close by that is a necessity or recreationally wanted: your island grocery store, hardware store, liquor store, a few banks, a gas station, art galleries, more than 12 restaurants and bars dot the island, 4 marinas, 2 day spas, more than a few bait/tackle shops, kayak/bicycle/boat rentals, and the island is also home to the most preserves in the Southwest area which affords great hiking and exploring."
• Chris A.
"Pine Island is one of the true "old Florida" spots left. We are a srtong comunity that supports each other you will not fined the chain stores, resturants,or big box stores out here only your neighbors and NATURE."
• Carl J.
"If it's nature and peace you are after, check out St james City, Florida. Located on a tropical island called Pine Island on the southern end. The last undeveloped island in florida."
