"I used to live very close to this section and the area is very very safe. No arrests that I know of or drug running that I know of. Most of the people are middle to upper middle class and I went to school in this area and to Marshall University living with family in this area. It’s safe and quiet. "

"I live in a beautiful, SAFE area of Huntington that is not too far from places to go but I use dial a ride to go places. The stores are close and I am on the edge of Huntington and Barboursville. So it’s safe here. "

"A lot of open areas and parks to walk in as long as you pick up after the dogs plus there is a dog park with space for little dogs and large dogs."

"Be aware and considerate of neighbors. Keep your dogs inside if they are barkers. Pick up after them when you walk them. Check on elderly neighbors, especially during power outages. God bless and Merry Christmas!"

"Nice neighborhood to walk your dogs. But the dog owners don’t always pick up after their dogs. There are also pitbulls in the neighborhood."

"I love my neighborhood. I feel safe here. I do wish cars wouldn't drive down the hill so fast. If I walked along the main road with my dog I would have to keep a tight leash. "

"Friendly area for dogs & very few loose dogs. The city has a leash, if dog is out of fenced yard it must be on a leash."

"There is a lot of people walking around a lot of the time. There is not a lot of fenced in yards but you could put one up I guess. I see a lot of stray dogs or atleast dogs off the leash so that is kind of worrying to me. But I haven’t seen anything bad come of that issue. There is a great dog park at Rittor Park it’s big and clean and very nice. I don’t think it’s too big of a deal having a dog or not. I don’t see dog poop around and at the parks and trails there are poop bags which is very convenient. "

"My neighborhood never does anything. We don’t talk to each other, we leave each other alone. They let their animals roam all over the place and it’s hard to drive on backroads because of that. We never say hi or ask each other for favors. If I was in a pinch I would not rely on any of them. "

"Government officials are terrible. Good ol boy rules city state county and judicial. Some service is good like trash collection and police and fire but that’s about it. If you have a complaint it go’s to file 13."

"Like any major city, living in Huntington is all about what block you live on. Some are the most wonderful communities, others are so dangerous I wouldn’t even drive through there after 10 PM. "
