8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are a military family and we have lived here 2 and half years. Our son has been going to the high school for a few months now and I honestly have no complaints. It is a wonderful school and the teachers seem to be really great they have emailed and reached out a lot. Our kids do play sports so we met a lot of people that way and we volunteer too. My son has really enjoyed football here its his passion again which fizzles out from time to time but the freshmen's are undefeated right now. Clubs and sports have really had our kids open up here since we aren't from here. We do think that the town has complainers here but we really have really enjoyed the teachers and they do not give out too much homework and when our son actually does his homework and classwork his gets really good grades. They have also made the students feel very accepted in every way and a little too much i think they just care a lot and want to show it. The are a very proud town with tailgates and hang outs and events. Our kids don't want to leave and that makes us feel good that they have been so happy here. If there are any issues involving your kid they will call and let you know and they handle all the issues so we were happy about that as well. Overall we are really pleased with the school so get your kids involved! We never let income stop our kids from enjoying school and no one should so yes people make a lot of money from here but i think there are a lot of great people and programs here because of that. Have fun!Parent Review4y ago6 Reviews - Waunakee Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSports, sports, sports. I hear they're not even any good anymore though. I went to school here. If you have a big family name they sweep everything under the rug if your kid gets in trouble (even the un thinkable like s/a). Heck, you can buy your kids grades with bribes twords the school.. don't believe me? Look at the test scores & compare it to the kids actual progression. Bullying was rampid when I attended this school. The worst part about the bullying was the teachers were actually more cruel then the kids. But hey, if your a rich waunakeein into sports and want to cram that down your kids throat, by all means.Other Review3mo ago5 Reviews - Arboretum Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son is currently finishing up his kindergarten year at Arboretum. We just moved to Waunakee last summer from hours away so we knew no one when he started out the school year. He raves about all of his wonderful teachers and has made tons of good friends. The school is very clean, the staff is friendly, and I love that they are always willing to take volunteers in the classroom or let parents eat lunch with the kids. At the beginning of the year, he could read two words (literally, his name and mine) and now he is reading with little to no help. Bonus, starting Spanish in Kindergarten has been a really exciting experience for him and he loves to utilize what he has learned when he's outside of school. We could not be more pleased. Sheila Wiehart is a very active face in the school's events. It gives a wonderful feeling to see the principal of the school first thing in the morning holding the for open for the kids. She does an incredible job at creating relationships with everyone.Parent Review10y ago7 Reviews - Check out schools near Perfect Dr.

"We absolutely love living here! There are three parks within a 10-minute walk from our house, including the multiple playground sets at the elementary school. We feel safe and secure, and we know all our neighbors. It's a great place to raise a family!"

"The area had great park and I think it’s good for families to leave there to keep kids happy. However school has also nearby as the area is been well organized for everything including bus transportation. Also you can get community guidelines if necessary"

"I don’t see as many families in the new multi-level apartment buildings (the high rises). There are some families living downtown, but they might be in condos. The west and east sides outside the square and campus housing have many more families. Downtown is great for the children’s museum, farmers market, and monona terrace has live music, etc. sometimes. Outside of the square, there are nice parks for kids and families with play sets and beaches."
