The school has excellent leadership & teaching staff. I've seen a great deal of improvement in my son's reading ability plus the have a solid instrumental program. The school principal is by far the best I've seen in the two districts my son has attended

This school is phenomenal. We are so fortunate to go here. Our daughter loves school, has made wonderful friends. From the first week the teachers all seem to know every child by name. Students are greeted each morning with an all-school assembly with drumming, singing, a welcome message by the Principal, and the school rock band rocking out. Its a fantastic way to start the day! There are tons of field trips, lots of art and music incorporated into each day. We love it here!

Excellent school, great service, for anyone looking to settle down in the highland park area

The teacher I worked with was fantastic, but we shared a room with another teacher who was not very good. She was creative, but had NO classroom management which led to students not listening, following directions, and eventually not caring. And I know there is a difference between a loud classroom with students all over, which may look chaotic, but is an amazing learning environment, and a classroom that looks that same but the students are not engaged in any way.

Everyone who has posted here needs to commit to helping WHS become the powerhouse school that it could be. There is a lot of talent at this school that needs to be harnessed and brought to attention. Let's make it happen
