6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am extremely disappointed and heartbroken with how this school has handled a very serious safety issue involving my child. For two months, my son experienced sexual misconduct from another student, and instead of receiving protection and support, he was pressured by other children not to speak up. What concerns me even more is that staff members appeared to ignore the situation even when there were clear signs something was wrong.A school should be a place where students feel safe, heard, and protected. That has not been our experience. We expected transparency, accountability, and immediate action, but instead we have been met with silence and avoidance. No parent should have to fight to have their child’s safety taken seriously.I am speaking up because every child deserves a school environment where their well-being comes first.Parent Review6mo ago22 Reviews - J. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have 2 students matriculation through Discovery - one is about to graduate. Our experience with Discovery has been a positive one. Is it perfect? No, but what school is? Like others, they've had to change principals, had teacher turnover, and lack of development in the sports area. I think the lack of a community park with recreational sports attributes to that and will hopefully improve now that they're building one. However, what Discovery does have is a core staff with good hearts, good, current leadership from admin down, and a majority of the student body who wants to achieve. Some highlight examples are as follows: 1) My kids have been fully supported since arriving at Discovery by the incomparable TYESE MILLER, who is in my opinion, the BEST counselor that we've ever had. Ms. Miller is always there to help facilitate, advocate, and navigate on the students' behalf. She has been available to my children for guidance at all times, even when shw wasn't officially their counselor any more. That's dedication. 2) The leadership clubs i.e. Beta, Deca, Peer Leaders, Honor Society, & Ambassadors do so much to build the students as kind, caring, and focused young people. We've seen our kids evolve in such a postal. 3) Discovery encourages and supports the students who show an eagerness and drive to not just learn, but to do "more". They will work with students if they need to miss class for extracurriculars, and provide opportunities to make up work & tests. 4) The teachers have scheduled after hours time for students who need assistance every week. I would recommend Discovery High School. We enjoy it here.Parent Review1mo ago25 Reviews - Check out schools near Path.

"No neighborhood gatherings but neighbors are usually nice and respectful. Holidays involving fireworks are a drag everywhere. They usually don’t go passed the legal time limits. "

"They would love living here there are other animal lovers everywhere and would not have to worry about it not being pet friendly. However, people are very particular about making sure you are cleaning up after yourself. "

"Some dog owners allow their dogs to run free through the neighborhood and treat the neighborhood as their own personal bathroom. Other neighbors are very diligent about having their dogs on leashes and picking up after them. It’s truly half and half."
