"Serenbe is a highly touted 900 acre green community consisting of 120 homes. The community is located just outside of Atlanta in the Chattahoochee Hill Country. To say that Serenbe was thoughtfully planned would be an understatement. The development team at Serenbe has created a place where there was just as much concentration on quality of life as their was on sustainability. A conscious commitment towards promoting diversity has lead to several interesting features of Serenbe. Graywater from homes will be reused in the best fitted way, including being used to meet irrigation demands, as water for toilets, or sent off for treatment. Storm water will run into heavily vegetated regions and will be disbursed naturally. Native plants are used throughout the development, which significantly decreases the need to water the lawn.
