3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageExcellent overall. So many new, great things happening. Excellent character education curriculum and culture of equality and respect. Teachers shake hands with students as they enter the room, and laughter and joy is heard in classrooms. After school LEGO robotics and garden clubs are thriving. Excellent math and literature curriculum. New NGSS STEM standards are being taught and new STEM lab is growing with weekly STEM challenges. Outdoor team building trips for students. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhen it comes to the overall experience at MHS it is hard to say that the school has a lot to offer. Although on paper there seems to be a lot of classes that students can take, you quickly learn that a lot of classes end up teaching the same thing. This year (2024-2025) many of the teachers in the math department especially seam unqualified to teach or have a lack of knowledge. The administration of the school lacks the ability to take student advice on how to properly better the school and in turn place rules and regulations that create a new and usually worse situation. Lastly the school counselors seem to blow off the needs of students especially when given complaints about a teacher or a request to change to a different teacher because of a lack of learning ability with the one they were assigned. Overall this school needs a lot of work to successfully help their students be successful:Student Review1y ago8 Reviews - Check out schools near P 77 Rd.

"I love my community. my neighbors are quite most of the time. my home insulated so as long as my windows are closed we hear very little.of course we are old so most of us don't hear great anyway. The park is beautiful but I never see anyone using it. kids ride their bikes back and forth so they are using it. I just never hear anything from the park."

"Montrose used to be nice, but has become a horrible place to live. Over the last 3 years it has become over populated and over priced."

"People walk their dogs around our neighborhood. I walk mine. There’s only a couple of people with barking dogs. There’s a lot of places to take your dogs, parks, dog parks, hiking and biking trails, cross country skiing."

"Everybody takes care of their property. There are very few cars parked on the street. It is very quiet. Most people have an extra garage that matches their house so they can store all extra vehicles boats or other toys. It keeps the neighborhood looking really nice and clean."

"This is a super nice area, very clean, safe and affordable!! Beautiful entry way to neighborhood gives it an upscale feel...not your typical "mobile park" setting. This is truly a neighborhood. with great amenities such as scenic walking paths through vast open space where you can run your dogs, or just enjoy a leisurely walk. There is a playground and also a community center to use for your parties, get togethers and meetings. Snow removal in the winter is included, so it makes it an easy, comfortable place to live, making it easy for families or the perfect lock and leave property! Within 5 minutes or less of downtown. Shopping and all schools are close by. Montrose itself is a clean, safe, comfortable sized community. It has all the amenities you need with a mild climate and 300+ days of sunshine, and yet close to skiing and snow shoeing, biking, hiking, jeeping, camping, and only 5 hours from Denver!...you name it Montrose area has it ! It's a great place to call home!"

"I have lived here since my home was built in '06, and love the quiet and peace of the neighborhood. The views of the mountains are incredible here, especially if you have a home orientation like mine - south, 180-degree span of the east mountains, west Uncompahgre Plateau, and San Juans to the south. Ours is a very friendly street -- we all know each other, but do not impinge on individual privacy. "
