6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child is a kindergarten student & he absolutely loves going to school everyday. He adores his teacher, she treats him with so much kindness & patience. Mrs. Barrett is just the sweetest. All of the staff we have encountered thus far have been wonderful. Mr. Davino stands out as a very dedicated principal who is exceptionally passionate about every student getting a quality education & being treated fairly along the way. There is an abundance of resources available to all students and their families to help combat any barriers along the way. The school’s use of positive reinforcement encourages each student to be proud of themselves & build their confidence. We could not be happier with the elementary school we’ve chosen for our first child. Knowing they treat our baby with kindness & fairness has helped us ease into this new chapter of life.Parent Review8mo ago12 Reviews - Lawnwood Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageJust appalling... The St Lucie County school system is broken. So happy that I can work 2 jobs and send my child to private school. No opportunity for advanced learning and the gifted program is a joke. It is all about the money the county gets for the school - If you r child is smart, apply for a scholarship for one of the private schools.. Really a travesty for the next generation. Shame on you St Lucie County,, Step up!Other Review10y ago2 Reviews - St. Lucie Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a teacher, it’s truly refreshing to work in a school where student engagement, support, and safety are more than just buzzwords—they’re lived values. This school fosters a learning environment where every child feels seen, heard, and motivated to succeed. With clear, consistent expectations school-wide, students know what’s expected of them and feel empowered to meet those standards. Classroom engagement is a top priority here, and it’s amazing to see students actively participating, asking questions, and taking ownership of their learning. It’s not just a school—it’s a community built on care, consistency, and growth.Teacher Review10mo ago2 Reviews - Chester A. Moore Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageChester A. Moore Elementary (CAM) has the best staff and administrators! The moment you walk in, it is evident that this is a caring place, greeted with friendly smiles and welcoming attitudes. When I talk to the teachers they say, 'This is the best place to work' - the teachers feel supported, and their happiness is reflected in the classroom. CAM has the hardest working, humble, and passionate teachers; they focus on every student’s individual needs and safety. The CAM family takes the time to know your child. It is a joyful place where kids are nurtured and seen, where individuals are appreciated and honored for the unique contributions they make to the community. Chester A. Moore Elementary is truly a school where excellence is believed and achieved by all.Teacher Review3y ago5 Reviews - Fort Pierce Central High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageStaff are at doors in the morning as students arrive. Staff look unhappy and frustrated. No good morning or smiles to students. Especially the dean that stands at doors at the drop off at the south entrance ( the drop off near cobra pride way. No smiles from her! Annoyance written on her face. Really think about this! She is the first face that some students see in the morning! My child has mentioned several times how teachers have CNN on in their classroom during the entire period. A lot of homework. I agree with homework but the amount given is ridiculous. The student/teacher ratio is off and homework overload appears to be teacher solution to having too many students - give them the work to be completed in class to do at home plus their typical homework.Sports: girls soccer coaches- is this volunteer or are you making a side hustle fee? These girls are losing respect for you. Life is hard and at the end of the day we are tired us parents understand but you signed up for this and if you can't commit and teach and coach these girls then let it go. My daughter and I have attended each game because she is interested in playing and I see no passion in the two coaches. I see exhaustion in the and the team being torn to pieces on the field by their opposing team. On a positive note- the principal does appear to genuinely care! He listens and cares for his students, staff and school. He is genuinely proud! I hope he reads this and considers making a few changes. Also, guidance counselors seem to be in there for the right reasons! Thank you for treating our students with respect and being a listening ear for them. You are appreciated!I will choose that I would recommend this school because there is potential!Parent Review2y ago7 Reviews - Lakewood Park Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you love your child do not have them attend this school. Office front are rude and nasty, don't want to help, never know anything mentally. Drugs are passed around to students with on site police, staff, and teachers with no knowledge as to where there coming from. Subject teachers are often absent and substitute teachers have no idea what to teach or how to control the students while in class. Bus drivers are late picking up and dropping off students often. It's just an all around mess.Parent Review1y ago7 Reviews - Weatherbee Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAllapattah School has been a wonderful experience for my daughter and for our family. From the first day, she has felt welcomed, supported, and motivated to learn. The teachers are caring, patient, and truly dedicated to each child’s success. They take the time to understand every student’s needs and make learning fun, engaging, and meaningful. I have seen so much growth in my daughter—academically, emotionally, and socially—and that is because of the amazing teachers and staff who go above and beyond every day. I am truly grateful for Allapattah School and highly recommend it to any family looking for a loving and supportive learning environment.Parent Review4mo ago17 Reviews - Check out schools near Oleander Ave.

"At the far West end of Wyoming Avenue, between 19th St. and Royal Palm Dr., a quiet collection of homes create a hidden oasis reminiscent of the decade of peace in which they were built. These 1960 CBS Kelly Hall designs have withstood the tests of time as have the friendships of their owners, many of whom are founding families. This diverse group of dedicated homeowners and long-term tenants, ranging from young families to retirees, all of varying cultural backgrounds, are united in their quest to ensure this area remains crime-free. To that end, one will find neighbors helping neighbors to keep lawns maintained, curbs cleaned and lights lit. When a band of rather unsuccessful burglars attempted to hit residences throughout the area, this street remained untouched, prompting Sheriff’s Deputies to applaud the residents. With large fenced yards, daily visits from the Ice Cream Truck and St. Lucie County Parks & Recreation just across the street, families with children need not go far to have fun. Located less than a mile from Indian River State College and Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute, future doctors & adult students can have affordable, spacious living without the noise of campus life. Those with limited transportation, (or those who simply hate S. FL traffic), will be pleased to know that one can find just about anything one needs within a two mile radius as all along Virginia Avenue, churches, pharmacies, grocery stores, discount merchandisers, restaurants and even a movie theater share space with hundreds of doctors, dentists, optometrists, chiropractors and many other professional service providers. Whether you are looking to own or rent, the 1900 block of Wyoming Avenue is a friendly, safe, convenient and affordable location for all. "
