I must say Mundy's Mill Middle School is an average middle school considering its demographics and location and community. I am an education consultant and evaluator of select programs within the state. I must say during a recent visit at a sports event (basketball scrimmage games) at Eddie White, I was very disappointed at watching the kids from Mundy's Mill Middle basketball team being non coached during two games against two different teams. Some considerations should be considered when placing coaches over kids at this level. These kids should be coached to assist them in being prepared at the next level as we put the same effort in preparing them in academics. The young lady and young guy that represented the school's basketball team were clueless of this sport. First of all, there was control of the team, allowing for two players on the floor at all times that never came out of the game. It is an insult to a team to allow dominance of one or two players to dictate the a team game at this level or any level. The two kids on the court played a bully ball. The two representing the coaches position allowed for this school's basketball team to be the laughing stock of this league. There is no structured guidance being provided. Basic basketball skills at this level were not present. I must have seen programs at this level accept and conduct background checks on certified coaches of their communities who would volunteer their experience and provide assistance to teams like this one. The basic team ball skills that are lacking and exercised would have been gained at elementary level. These kids have the talent of the basic skills however they are being coached/utilized properly. A coach needs to know the kids and when to call a time out to prevent injuries. Bottom line the season appears to be very disappointing. I don't think your coaches understand the magnitude and impact they have on these kids'futures with proper knowledge and preparation for a potential future for some of them. From a very strong and dedicated supporter of the community....

Awful some of the third grade teachers those know who they are, don't care for their students they are only there for a paycheck and that's not fair to those children who truly want to learn the teachers are cheating our kids of an education . Some of the office staff are pretty nice, others not so much specifically the hallway monitor. That looks like she would tackle anybody who tries to get passed her.

My daughter is currently in her first year at Lovejoy High School, and our experience has been very positive. She truly enjoys attending the school, which speaks volumes about the environment and support provided there.The teachers have been very responsive and professional whenever I reach out by email, and I greatly appreciate their communication and willingness to help. The principal is also very kind and does an excellent job leading and managing the school.Overall, I am very pleased with Lovejoy High School and, at this time, I have no complaints.

As a single mom with two boys—one with special needs—moving from Florida to Georgia, I was initially nervous and anxious. My first impression of the school and classroom was positive; it was big, clean, and well-maintained compared to the schools my kids attended in Titusville and Spring Hill. I was impressed. The substitute and teachers were very friendly, and my autistic son with ADHD didn’t seem unhappy, unlike his experiences at previous schools. So far, in the first two weeks, I haven’t received any calls to pick him up early, which is a relief.However, something concerning happened yesterday during a storm. Around 1 PM, we had a tornado warning with strong winds and heavy rain. Despite this, the schools decided it was safe to keep the kids there. On my way to pick up my son, the road was blocked by a fire truck, and the school did not notify parents about this situation. This caused significant delays, leaving many parents, including myself, stuck in the school parking lot. Because of this, I was late picking up my first son at Kemp and my second son at another school 20 minutes away. The school’s lack of communication and preparedness for severe weather was incredibly frustrating and stressful.In Florida, schools send alerts to parents when a storm is approaching, allowing them to pick up their children early for safety reasons. Florida experiences more severe hurricanes and tornadoes, yet they prioritize children’s safety better than what I’ve experienced here. I’m truly shocked and disappointed by this system.Additionally, the school does not allow my autistic son to bring a toy or comfort item from home or wear a shirt without a collar, despite his sensory issues. His teacher mentioned he could change into a more comfortable shirt once inside, but overall, the rules feel unnecessarily strict.
