8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI met so many cool people here for a few months. I never saw these kids again but they were kind and smart. Surround yourself with types of people! This school also has excellent prioritization on education. I’d finish off my high school career here if my parents weren’t legacy freaks. Don’t go to clear brook high school, please go to friendswood! You won’t regret it.Other Review4mo ago8 Reviews - Friendswood Junior High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFriendswood Junior High school is a really good school the teachers are nice the substitutes are a little bit just that two of them or respectfully is too old and another is too strict than a usual teacher can be, I'm in band and the teachers are the best Mr.Steinke is the band director in Concert and Synphonic band and he is really cool, funny, positive, and he thought us how to be better at playing, Mr. Hunter is serious and quiet but he sometimes smiles he helps us how to play better too, Mr. Abbott is the one I know the less but he is really sweet and kind, I'm a ESL student so in the class Ms. Anderson help the students with English and thanks to her students who don't have a good knowledge of English can maintain a high grade. The school prepared the students for their future, and this school make my grade be much more higher than any other school that I had been in example mi grade in my old school was like 1400(6th grade) in this school is like 1800(7th grade). Another thing is that I noticed that special students don't have the enough atttention but they do have buses which arrive specially for them. Also you have the opportunity to join National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) which is an organization to help community, like giving clothes to homeless people and you can join science fair I which to but I'm not goin bacause I'm goin to another school faraway from the state and thas the reason for my review to show people how amazing and great this school is and the amount of opportunities you have here in Friendswood Junior High.Student Review8mo ago5 Reviews - Westwood Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWorst school I’ve ever had the displeasure of working with. The staff comes in when ever they feel like it having the parents and children wait on them and leave early, EXTREME ATTITUDE from the staff every one of them are white females whom look at you in disgust for waving hello? Had the front desk woman scold my 4 year old child because he didn’t know where his class was? Then scoffed and said “I guess I’ll have to take you” making my son feel very bad about himself. These people think they are so high and mighty and very pretentious when this is a regular neighborhood.. this isn’t Beverly Hills, get over yourself.another incident with my sons teacher being sarcastic and talking over me and my husband over a simply asking where my sons lunch box was? She looked annoyed and said “well you’re just going to have to wait until ALL the children go home for the day to get that back” ?? Weird response being there’s 5 other teachers and teachers helpers literally standing to the side doing absolutely the staff is low iq , no manners and takes no accountability. I can’t wait to put my child in a better school district Away from these weirdosParent Review7mo ago4 Reviews - Zue S Bales Intermediate School

"My husband and I met one another here in Friendswood Texas, nearly 15 years ago and he’d already been a resident here since he was a boy. The area neighborhoods are peaceful, family friendly and neighbors look out for each other here. Police have a fairly strong presence and keep the small community safe. The City of Friendswood takes pride in maintaining the public parks and bayous. Located between the urban areas of Houston and the coastal waterways of Galveston Island, Friendswood is a great place to work and enjoy the outdoors… except watch those Summer temperatures that reach into the triple digits for weeks and months at a time. "People are always out walking their dogs. Some neighborhoods don’t have sidewalks and the pavement can get hot in the summer."

"I love this area. It’s more like a small town feeling. I feel safe and the people are friendly. There are parks and the city has a lot of events in the main park. It has more of a country feel than some areas. The schools are great. "

"My commute is about 1hr each way because I work in the Galleria area, but there are plenty of aerospace and medical employers in this area, homes are affordable, and the public schools are above average to excellent."

"Easy commute south to Galveston, Alvin and Angleton. The park and ride is great for Northbound trips along I-45. There is also an HOV hot lane for getting into Houston quickly. Traveling east and west is fairly easy as well."
