"norman rockwell would have painted our town. it is quaint and old fashoined in values and community cohesiveness is apparent. the schools are great and my kids arrive to teachers and staff that great them every morning with hugs and smiles. there is a gas station, a post office, a tiny grocery store, dollar general, a few hair salons and a diner. we also have a local health clinic, two banks and a park...and thats about it other then churches of course. which is enough to meet most needs. we are 20 to 30 minites from the bigger city for any other wants...which makes for a decent commute to work for those that earn an income outside of the home while still keeping family in a small town friendly and safe place. as a single mom, i love it here. i feel safe with my children able to play outside, ride bikes and be part of an intergenerational community of people to be an extended family for my young ones. "We downsized and moved to this area for a safer and quieter environment. We left the constant hustle in Columbia for the slower pace, and safety of this bedroom community. We still have the convenience of large town amenities within 8 minutes of us! Love it here"
