9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school may not be the most welcoming environment for all families, especially those who are not from the Plymouth area or who come from diverse backgrounds. Many parents and students feel that favoritism plays a significant role in the classroom experience, and if one teacher has concerns with a student, it can unfortunately carry over year after year.Communication between staff and parents is often limited, and classroom issues are sometimes discussed only among teachers rather than being elevated to administrators. Not all children are treated equally, and there is a noticeable lack of consistency in how students are supported. The environment does not always feel inclusive or nurturing, and children who are energetic or expressive may quickly be labeled or recommended for evaluations rather than being given patience and understanding. For families moving to Plymouth, this may not be the most supportive school choice.Other Review8mo ago4 Reviews - Salem High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a former Salem student, I can honestly say that I will never allow my future children to step foot in this school. This is a school that deeply prioritizes the over achieving, and ignores everyone else. Teachers and administrators shame students with lower grade point averages rather than helping them improve. Vast majority of the student body feels forgotten, invisible and helpless. A very large amount of the student population has severe mental health issues, for which they provide few resources. However, Salem does have an incredible counseling team. Sadly, they are painfully overwhelmed, and finding someone to talk to is virtually impossible during busy months. Several faculty members are highly unprofessional, and complain about their jobs to students. Majority of their complaints centered around their dismay towards the Salem principal, and their compensation. Some teachers had so much social drama going on it felt like watching a reality show. If you are looking for a school where your child will feel forgotten, unintelligent, and depressed Salem is the place for you! Anyone moving to the Plymouth-Canton area should factor in the price of private high school. (I would recommend St. Catherine's, Divine Child and Father Gabriel Richard)Other Review4y ago9 Reviews - Canton High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI graduated in 2023, and this school definitely prepares you for college. P-CEP offers a wide variety of advanced and AP courses, which is helpful. However, it's incredibly easy to feel lonely at this school because of how many students there are. With almost 7,000 students, it's difficult to retain friendships unless you're a part of the same club. Never expect the ability to have lunch with your friends unless you're both in some special program that guarantees it. Throughout my time at P-CEP, at least one student has taken their own life almost every year, and there have been multiple gun and bomb threats that have led to lockdowns. Overall, good school for learning and college preparation, but not so great at providing students with mental and emotional support.Other Review2y ago6 Reviews - Check out schools near Napier N.

"It’s nice there’s good families here and they seem to be focused on their community as much as they can."

"The community I live in is close set and not a lot of yard space. Makes it difficult to exercise your dog. Also, very little sidewalks, and people drive too fast through the neighborhood "

"The area has lots of growing families. It offers a lot of sports activities. A branch of the public library system will be opening in the near future."

"It’s a nice little quiet neighborhood. Still far enough away from the city, to feel distanced, but close enough to still feel involved."

"I don’t really like how every road from where I live to the highway is a two lane and people never want to drive the speed limit. Other than that it’s fine "

"Very dog friendly but no fenced yards. There is a very large back common space that people play with their dogs in but again, not fenced. "

"It is s decent area the only thing I have an issue with is how fast people drive around the neighborhoods!!! The police have been in the area trying to watch the speeders lately which is nice!"

"yeah this is a dog-friendly neighborhood for sure! only thing is there aren’t any fenced backyards so dog owners should be AWARE of that, but shouldn’t be warded off by any means! great spacious area very suitable for dogs. my family is excited to introduce a puppy to this area soon!"

"lived here for twelve years, and love the area. Best of both rural and suburban life. Picturesque drive to and from in spring and fall with all the trees, local farmer's market not far away, and very diverse."

"This is an excellent subdivision. Great HOA, great landscaping, great neighbors! There are plenty of children in the sub and the condos are right next door which allow comfort for the older population. Wonderful mix of people from all over the Ann Arbor, Ypsi, Canton, and Detroit area. You're 10 minutes from US-23, I-94, and I-275! You're less than 5 minutes from Ypsi and Canton and about 10 minutes from Ann Arbor. It's the perfect location if you work in the city and like to have the country living feel. You're surrounded by fields and wooded areas and at night, the stars are absolutely beautiful. The lights from the surrounding cities don't get in the way of an OUTSTANDING view of the stars. It's quite peaceful as well, not a loud area, since there are few houses and only fields and woods across the street. The subdivision events are FANTASTIC as well - very easy to find a babysitter within the sub, many social events like annual picnics, BBQ's, casino bus trips twice a year (these are a BIG hit), annual garage sales, Halloween parade for the kids (also a BIG hit), and a Christmas light contest at the end of every year. The social committee is just wonderful with these events, and they are completely free (except for the casino bus). They also have an active neighborhood watch as well, which gives added security to the residents. It is comprised of neighbors in the sub who volunteer their time to monitor crime in the area and even do drive-thru checks at night. Great communication within the sub because they frequently use their FB page and www.nextdoor.com to communicate with the residents. The community pool and playground are added features for families with kids - this private, gated area is EXCEPTIONALLY maintained by the HOA and is available to Bromley Park Homeowners and Condo owners ONLY. Schools are rated pretty poorly, but there are MANY charter schools locally. This is an awesome place for couples, singles, small families, large families, and retirees!"

"I have lived in Superior Township for the past 23+ years. I have raised 3 kids there. The school system is horrible but weren't quite as bad when my kids went. There are some NHA charter schools in close proximity that kids can attend. There isn't very much crime unless you live in some of the poverty stricken areas. Lots of parks and family friendly. The downtown area isn't much and on the "come-up" supposedly but you are surrounded by Canton, Ann Arbor and not far from Saline and Westland area which have great shopping and restaurants. Depot town has great restaurants but is on frequented by a certain crowd of people and if you are not a part of "the crowd" you will stick out and not feel welcomed there. Jobs are sparse unless you can get into the colleges or hospitals."

"It's absolutely gorgeous to walk through here/ live here. 20 mins to Detroit Metro Airport, 10 mins to Canton, 5 mins to Ann Arbor. Safe, wide roads for kids. Lots of space between the lots (unlike many other subdivisions). We looked for 10+ years before we found this place. The best area is probably Woodhill Circle--lots of mature trees that back up to the Cherry Hill Nature preserve. All that, and just 10-15 mins to the University of Michigan for Ann Arbor's famous football Saturdays!"

"I live in Superior Township. I love this area because it is rural, green, quiet, and far enough from the populated areas that I can still see the stars at night! A quick hop onto M-14 to Main street and I'm at a nice restaurant or theater/music event in 15 minutes. When I return home, I can sit on the back porch and only hear crickets. It is paradise here!"
