I feel like Anthony is safe & getting avoid education here.I grew up here & we didn't have middle school,we went straight from 9th gr. at Sixthward to 10th at P.R.H. 9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTwo of my children have attended Riverside Elementary. I have consistently been impressed by the level of instruction, potential for parental involvement, and communication with teachers. The principal is absolutely authoritative but quite caring and personable. Additionally in response to previous comments regarding food, this was a recent winner in the HealthierUS Schools Challenge promoted by the First Lady. The principal and cafeteria manager were invited to a special reception at the White house as a result. I believe healthy food is more important than what the children want to eat. That being said, I thank the principal, teachers, and staff of Riverside Elementary for all of the work they do on a daily basis. For those that complain, you should spend more time volunteering your time to help with what you see as an issue and less time complaining.Parent Review12y ago - Little Pearl Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLittle Prison Elementary. I give this school a 2 but ONLY because of the teacher my child has. If it were not for her I would have transferred long ago. The office staff are very rude and have zero issues insulting and questioning your parenting right in front of your child. Show up 2 minutes late to car line and they treat you like you abandoned your child. They BLAME the children for being late to school. How on earth are you going to write up a 4 year old for being late?! It's not his fault. I even watched a teachers aid scold a 4 year old for forgetting his backpack. Quoting "that's not your mommy's responsibility. It's YOURS." Had this poor child in tears. You don't treat children like that. I know prison guards that treat inmates with more respect than that.
