0. Based solely on the character of leadership I'm highly disappointed.

McKenzie High School was never focused on educating their students. They have been and always will be more focused on sports than anythings else. They have a small roster of genuinely good teachers who teach the main subjects, most of them being reused for the main subjects. A good amount of their teachers were hired either out of desperation, or on the sole reason of being a coach. Many important classes (such as econ and gov) were given to coaches who do little to nothing to teach their students, leaving most to rely on other sources to learn or cheating. I was an all A's student, apart from in the classes they hired lacking teachers not fit for the job. They spent 4 million of their budget on a sports facility majority of students will never use instead of reinvesting into the betterment of the school. If you want your child to have a decent education, avoid McKenzie High school. Within many situation the staff has been know to side with the popular kids in issues, preventing many kids who genuinely get bullied from getting help. The previous Drivers Education teacher (who was a coach also shocker) did little to nothing to ever teach the students, their drivers education was lackluster. They would have him teach for a week or two (he would do the bare minimum and just gave out work sheets he wouldn't actually check) and then split students into groups of three and have each of them drive once a week. Their stem class is severely lackluster because of the lack of a decent teacher, Throughout my time in the class we went through two different teachers who wouldn't even try. The second one eventually tried to make ME do every single students coding assignment because she didn't want to hear them complain about it anymore. This same teacher ranted to me about her divorce, and tried to get me to take apart a CRT TV which is highly dangerous because of it high voltage capacitor. She did not know this. This very teacher is still on staff. While I loved many of the teachers within the school those select few did not make up for the lack luster whole. This is school is a disappointment to the education system itself,

awful school. dress code is way to strict. i left the school. they wont even allow visitors. dont go.
