Their scores seem so high because of the system they use. Their system said my kid did not know how to read, yet my kid can read about 20 different books at home and knows over 100 words. Their system makes the kids seem dumb at first because they don't know what to do, but then once kids learn the horrible software, scores go up because they now know what to do. So it makes the system seem far better than it actually is. Dibel's 8th edition is what they use and it has ONCE case study done on it.... A case study using a group of kids that are 80% Hispanic where English is not their primary language...THAT is what they base their software off of as being good. It focus's on nonsensical words.... yeah they made that a thing. They teach your kids how to pronounce words that aren't actually words... So if your kid comes home asking what VOP spells, don't tell them it isn't a word because it is a nonsensical word according to Dibel's 8th edition.... Without the teacher's at this school, it would be shut down. Management at this school is a disaster held together by good teachers.

"This isn’t my neighborhood I just go to work here but it’s a very nice and quiet neighborhood, you don’t hear much of anything or see violence of any kind. It seems to be a very safe place to stay."

"I have lived and worked in this area for 26 years. If you enjoy mother nature, clean air and spacous serenity you will love Badin Lake. Boating, fishing and mountain vistas. Friendly neighbors and great community amnities like walking trails and boating facilities. "

"Yes, I live in the the gated community, Uwharrie Point...home of the Old North State Club. This is an upscale community with the number 2 private golf course in NC. It also is located on Badin Lake, one of the nicest lake in NC."
