This school is the best kept secret in St. Tammany Parish! Mr. Marlbrough, Principal and Dr. Lowe, Assistant Principal have done an amazing job in just three years. They have turned our local school back into a place of learning, fun and most importantly family. The teachers at this school truly care about the children at this school and truly go above and beyond for my child and others. My child had Ms. L **** last year and she was amazing. The office staff is always so helpful and nice and even the janitors can be seen giving "high fives" to the students. It is not uncommon to walk the halls and see students telling teachers "Hello Mr. or Mrs. ****" or even giving several teachers a hug or a wave as they go by. The students seem to be excited and smiling when they come to school. They do a great job keeping me informed as a parent through the PTA newsletter and literacy nights. The teachers even call for GOOD things. I have even seen fellow parents in tears outside and a staff member offering them kleenex and shoulder should they need. At CIE my child is not part of a school but a family! I truly am blessed to have my child be apart of this school. Can't wait to see the remodel

"Dog owners would love it here in Lacombe it’s not too hot nor it’s not too cold all year round there are tall trees as far as the eye could see."

"Quiet, semi secluded. Close enough for most any needs. Dollar store, groceries, fast food and gas stations are but a few miles left or right. Beautiful park 2 miles. Tammany Trace biking trail 1/10 of a mile from the house. Neighbors close by but not right next to you. "

"Lacombe is semi-rural. Two small towns are to the left and right about 3 to 4 miles each way. New Orleans is about a 45 minute commute. Nothing is too far away for gas, food or clothing. Plenty of outdoor recreation. Beautiful location along Lake Pontchartrain. "

"A car is needed. it’s 7 miles to Lacombe and 7 miles to Northshore Square and Walmart. Can bike on the Tammany Trace for Miles’s "

"It is peaceful and quiet. The scenery is lovely and the water provides recreational opportunities. People are friendly, and crime is very low. You do need a car to get around as the area is more rural."

"It’s located on a beautiful bayou that includes 13000 acres of wildlife preserve. People are helpful and friendly and crime is virtually nonexistent. It’s a little bit of paradise. "
