9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSpeaking as a hispanic student here, there is too much homework, that it leaves no time for outside school activities or social life outside school. The staff at this school do NOT CARE, speaking on the people in the office and teachers in the cohort. I think they should completely take done the cohort because it’s a toxic culture and the naive english teacher promotes violent culture. We had a terrible bio teacher, and it took hundreds of students to get her out, supporting my claim on that they do NOT CARE. They have good family engagement. As for safely, most fights involve hispanic girls and boys. A boy brought a crowbar to school for a fight. They need security. i’m currently transferring due to my mental health that the school caused.Student Review1y ago16 Reviews - George V. Leyva Intermediate School

"It’s a great community but there’s a lot to do still to make it better . I think the city should provide a small subsidy to beautify the neighborhood eg. front yards and also enforce removal of junk from those houses that don’t do a good job to upkeep their curb appeal! "

"If I go south in the morning and north in the evening, I'm going against traffic and driving is a breeze. Going the opposite way, there is a ton of traffic and the travel time doubles or even triples. "

"use side streets before 10:30 and after 2 to avoid awful traffic on 101 and 280. a car is essential. public transit will take double the time and you'll have to drive to it anyway. "
