I truly believe that everyone has a right to their opinion. But, here's the facts: Kearsarge Regional High School has one of the highest graduation rates in the state. Kearsarge Regional High School has won the NHIAA Sportsmanship Award multiple times in a row. Kearsarge Regional High School offers several AP and Dual Enrollment classes.My daughter graduated from Kearsarge Regional High School within the past 5 years. She graduated top of her class and when she entered college, she already had 5 credits under her belt due to the AP and Dual Enrollment classes. She now attends a great college, gets great grades, is on the Division 1 sports team at her college, and is on track to med school. When she had questions about math or writing research papers or anything at all - even in college - her teachers at Kearsarge Regional High School were there for her. Offering to meet with her and help her through the work. Because they knew how she learned best. It might sound like a brag, but I credit the amazing faculty at Kearsarge Regional High School for a good amount of this. They were team players and totally invested in my daughter's education. When my daughter started seeming "off" I was contacted, in concern. When my daughter needed to be challenged more, they challenged. The counselors were amazing and super supportive at a very unique time in her life, as much of her time there was during Covid and remote learning. They guided her through the entire college admissions process.PS - Teachers rocked the remote learning too. Now, are there outliers to all of this? Of course. There always is. But one or two or even 5 don't represent the entire teaching population.Now, I'll be honest and say this isn't my family, but a close friend of mine rants and raves about the special education department. Strong communication, strong services, strong follow through with her daughter at a very uncertain time. Her daughter was a part of the Unified Basketball team, Unified Theater program, Therapeutic Horseback Riding program, and Adaptive Snowboarding Program - and also was a part of the JV Basketball team, JV Lacrosse team and Project Climb (outdoor adventure club), all while attending career exploration trips, life skills and community trips, and playing a key role in her general education classes.So there's some facts and some opinions from a parent who actually lives in the district and would send another kid there, 100%. For what it's worth.

My son attended this school for grade 1. He had special needs r/t a history of trauma and the school just had no idea what to do. They isolated him and really did more damage than good to him. We moved to get our son away from this school. Now almost a year later he is doing so much better. He is almost caught up academically and spends 90% of his time in the classroom vs 10% at New London. The principal at NL is an arrogant, unprofessional, person. This school did significant damage to our son. We are so happy to be away from it.

Horrible school. Steve Patterson and Sara Dockham are rude people. Never will have my kid here again.
