I amp not surprised about the news article that came out. I always felt like if you were in a lower economic class you were treated worse than the other students. I remember constantly wearing my favorite shirt not because I didn’t have any other shirts but because I really like that shirt. I was made fun of and called poor. I told the teachers and it seem like nothing was ever done about it eventually I just had to throw that shirt away.

This school mainly does the minimum. In my time there I incontered multiple teachers that openly held contempt for special ed students. One literary called them "stupid" in the classroom. The school spoon feeds students with learning disabilities a passing grade, basically just giving them the answer. Example: on a multiple choice question with four possible answers(A,B,C,D), they would tell them the answer is either A or C. There was never an effort to work to improve these students abilities to overcome their challenges. If a special ed teacher spent "too much time" helping one student work on their challenges, they would be chastised by administrators. The goal was to MAKE all of them pass and nothing else.
