"Dogs are mostly friendly, there are some owners with unfriendly dogs that don’t seem to care. Some don’t seem to think that they need to pick up after their dogs. "
  • Denise
"Great area to walk friendly, well behaved dogs. My dog lived to go for walks around here. I used to also get her a pup cup and the local ice cream shop. Pretty safe area. "
  • Mona B. B.

  • Rachael S.
"Kind people! Your kids will have a good, close community to grow up in, but there is a lot of politics. "
  • Anonymous Z.
"Fourth of July parade in the summer and the ice hockey tournament in the middle of winter. I believe. "
  • Evensonk

"There is a dog park within walking distance. And it is tended to buy a dedicated group of volunteers from with in the community."
  • Pjcarol.coyote1
"I am retired. I do not have a commute! If you do need to go somewhere, plan around your trip. Driver's are very rude. That is wherever you drive. Text and phone conversations while driving are more important than your life or mine."
  • Kjdignan
"Great park right across the street. Close to town, easily walkable to most places within Whitmore Lake. Close to schools. Lots of churches."
  • Ashley_bolitho
"good people. very safe. friendly neighbors. nice area good food. nice lake. parks. sidewalks. awesome schools. good law enforcement. "
  • Pantherqueen33
"The schools are terrible. Threats and bullying happens all the time.😪 It’s very saddening that a once great town is like this now."
  • Dbrooks730
"We can walk to the grocery, video store, library, parade and ice cream store. Lake neighbors are clean and friendly. Awesome 4th of July fireworks from barge on lake. Love my little town cottage close to home. Ann Arbor is only 12 minutes away and Brighton is 15 minutes. Perfect for restaurants and shopping."
  • Kristen A.
"We live in the Eagle Gardens sub and have great neighbors, feel very safe, enjoy the sidewalks and community park as well. Whitmore Lake itself has little to no shopping and I don't enjoy having to drive 15-20 minutes for any/all shopping trips - grocery or otherwise. The community is small and clean. People are friendly and the lake really acts like the center of town. I've heard nothing but good about the schools and can say I recommend living here unless you REALLY value convenience! "
  • Mscruggs73
"Growing up my father had a home in Whitmore Lake that I always used to spend summers at. When the opportunity came to buy my first home, I was thrilled to buy my first home near the lake I fell in love with. This area has tons of character and is within 15mins of Brighton and Ann Arbor. Tons of families are in the area and the community is strong. I love living here and the lake is wonderful!"
