The school has neglected to tell me about issues with my child in the past and instead has enabled bad behaviour. They've neglected to communicate disruptions in class and instead glossed it over with "we try to handle it at the school level first" when dealing with a traumatized child. Since the principal change, the communication has increased, but the enabling has already took its toll going forward.The school was also notified that the child's absent father was going to make an attempt to take the child from school and was told multiple times the importance of communicating when the other parent has arrived or not. Sure enough, the parent arrived to take the child unannounced and the front desk "forgot" to inform me, because "it was too busy". Luckily I was able to intervene by chance of me being there at the same time.

Great school! We have experienced private schools, charter schools, etc. This school is just as tough! The expectations for the students surprised me. The teachers were always very prepared and engaging. The office staff were always welcoming and helpful. My son had a wonderful experience and made a lot of really nice friends. Give it a chance! You won't regret it! :)

So let me start by saying my daughter graduated from NMCHS in 2010. My granddaughter will be graduating in 2024 GO CONDORS!! She is part of Color Guard and was awarded a certificate for her culinary class a top student. I’m so proud of her she has over come a lot in the past years and always had a counselor or teacher she could talk to. GO CONDORS!
