To the recent reviewers who made some valid points: the school has gone through changes, and it’s clear they’ve listened to the concerns. A new principal is coming for the 2025–2026 school year, which shows they’re trying to move in the right direction.The staff here really do care. They work hard—something that’s not always easy to find in public schools—and they take their jobs seriously. They’re supportive and want to see students succeed. While the student body still has room to grow, the administration and teachers stay consistent and try to make everyone feel welcome.Compared to my experience at Stetson, the staff at Rustin are a lot more involved. They actually care, and it shows in how they do their jobs. The school offers a lot if you’re willing to get involved. There are over 50 different clubs, so there's something for everyone.Overall, I think Rustin is better than some people say. Whenever I’ve had a problem—or seen someone else going through something—the counselors and staff have been there to help. They’re dedicated to helping students as much as they can.

Teachers are reportedly on their phones constantly. Classroom instruction in mnay cases is reduced to "look a this slide show on your laptop". Asking questions is discouraged. This is the case for more than several teachers and the accountability for them is lacking. Bad leadership coupled with overreaching in their scope and authority. There are however many great teachers. Just not enough to make up for the bad and the lazy.

My son attended Westtown-Thornbury from 1st grade through 5th grade. This school is awesome. The teachers are wonderful and the kids are outstanding, kind and considerate to one an other. I can't imagine a better choice of a school. I'm sad to see him move on to middle school but know it will be great as well. We are so lucky to be in such a great school district.
