4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’m the grandmother of twin kindergarteners. I was concerned that my grandson would have some difficulty because he just had no real desire to “learn“ or even play anything that he realized was learning. He hated coloring too. I’ve tried everything to help him be prepared with little success, except reading to them; he loves that. He thought his twin sister was great at everything about learning so he wanted his very own niche. My prayers have been answered though because he has an Amazing Teacher! She gets him! She see his brilliance is in conversation and comprehension and speaks encouragement into him. The very 1st week I could tell that she was already making great progress in making him want to learn. I'm So Very Thankful for this precious teacher! In my opinion there are no bad students just bad teachers. That certainly does not apply to this amazing teacher. Thank you Mrs. Kivet! Thank you A.T. Allen Elementary!Other Review4y ago5 Reviews - Central Cabarrus High

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere have been multiple instances of children being caught with guns. There are cameras facing every bathroom and they’ll have people standing and mean mugging your child right in front of the bathroom and god forbid your child goes to the bathroom during a time others are because they send the police officer into the bathroom to look under the stalls without knocking or anything. The school has a high graduation rate because teachers and principals just try to push the kids through your child will not learn anything here. Teachers don’t correct student behaviors unless it’s directed at them. Admin walk around in the hallway to ‘catch’ students but they ignore clear problem students and go straight for the others. They also make the special kids go around and clean the school like a janitor team. I’m pretty sure that’s not okay?Other Review4mo ago10 Reviews - C. C. Griffin Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have been leaving in the community where this school is located. I have heard AND seen wonderful things! I am totally excited about the work the Ag teacher is doing! I see that they have a garden outside for the students to learn how to cultivate and grow their own foods! You don't see these types of programs at other middle schools. I commend the county and the school administration for having the vision to include this as part of the curriculum.Other Review1y ago16 Reviews - Check out schools near Lot 1 Rufus Ct.

"Crowded and overpopulated, lots of animals. Stray cats & dogs. I’ve lived here my entire life. I love this community & most of the people. Our little city has grown tremendously in the past 10 years, many of them long term residents - expanding family. Others, transplants from up North & many from the SW. "

"Some areas have more sidewalks than others. It would also be nice for more dog spaces, like open run areas, not fenced dog parks. "

"I have lived in this neighborhood for eight years. The people on my street are friendly and caring. Kids of all ages play outside together and are respectful of each other. There is a very strong sense of community on my street, and by far the best neighborhood I have ever lived. The bad part is the city continually clears nearby forest and farm land to add mostly apartments and rentals which drive down property valuse. Those who live outside of my subdivision also use our streets as a cut through and speed through the neighborhood throwing garbage and running stop signs. The city also refuses to improve existing infrastructure, so the schools, roads, and businesses are severely overcrowded. Because of this overcrowding and lack of planning from the city/county, our community has reached its apex and is beginning to decline. As such, we will need to move within the next five years."

"It takes a few to get out of the neighborhood but that is only because it is a large area. But the commute is fairly easy. 485 is not far at all. I work I. Charlotte and so does my wife and the commute isn’t bad. 85 is also not far as well"
