This school is not as perfect as it comes off. During my time at Mardela is was very racist and unwelcoming to minorities and those with disabilities. Those I will say a few staff members really care for our disabled and minorities students that isn't the majority. Its worst of all when our principal Mrs. Hastings, was both dismissive of bullying, racism and discrimination but also gave certian students special treatment because she 'liked' them. It wouldn't be a suprise to hear she prefers the young men to her female students in any situation where she must choose a side. There was once a situation where a girl student, freshman by the way, who was sexually harassed and the boy got nothing more than in school detention for a day. He didn't even have to apologize. It is for reasons like this that I recommend being prepared for this type of treatment at this school and that it will take much fight to change anything

En mi experiencia esta es la mejor escuela, mi hijo se siente seguro, respetado y valorado al igual que yo, el curso cuenta con suficientes materiales para facilitar el aprendizaje y los maestros' son muy capacitados. Mi hijo cursó kindergarten y aprendió mucho. Recién cuando nos mudamos y sentimos un gran apoyo de todo el personal de la escuela westside primary school. Desde el principal, las maestras, consejeras, personal de biblioteca y todos excelentes.
