The staff at Collins could care less if these kids pass or fail. It is just a paycheck to them. Teachers and staff don't care about their students the way they use to 30 years ago when I was in school. This is the absolutely worst school that I have had a child to go to and I plan on sending my child to Raleigh County School next year as I have already moved my other children that are in elementary school to Raleigh County. Do not send your child here if you don't have to.

This school is the worst I have ever seen. The amount of bullying and fights are unbelievable and nothing is done to stop it. You call this school and they will tell you they will take care of the issue but they don't then when you call back they tell you they're short staffed. We send our kids to school thinking they are safe and learning but they're not. There's fights in the bathrooms everyday. Kids having to go to the hospital for medical attention but do they do anything to prevent this absolutely not. Since there's fights in the bathrooms everyday there should be an adult in or near bathrooms everyday all day but NO They are to short staffed for that meanwhile there's all kinds of staff sitting in the office doing absolutely nothing. I am one of the parents that had to sit at the ER with my child hoping and praying that nothing was seriously wrong after my child was jumped in the bathroom. Several students jumped my child and seeing that I have contacted the school several times about bullying with nothing done. I will be contacting the board and law enforcement maybe then something can get done. I have lost all hope in our schools and our school system in Fayette County especially this one.
