This school has good curriculum activities and plenty of friends to make. But here are the negatives.1. Accelerated Reader is forced on everybody. This county is the only district in America where AR is required to be promoted to the next grade. If you don't do AR, You will have an F on the grade card each term. AR should be optional in this county like all other districts.2. At Mullens Elementary, Some teachers can be sweet but the others are rude and shows no social skills to the students whatsoever. My child cries on a daily basis due to the staff yelling. They even gave my child lunch detention for no reason a couple of times.VERDICT - I recommend going to school somewhere else but I wouldn't recommend MES or MMS.
