9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children just finished 5th grade after starting at Peninsula for Kindergarten and we absolutely loved our time here. The teachers and staff are fabulous, and my kids made excellent connections with them all. The school community is so welcoming and it has been so fun getting to know everyone as we moved on through the years. My son started his time with some reading difficulties, but these problems were quickly identified and addressed and he has blossomed so much with the supports provided. We feel so lucky that this was our neighborhood school, and would recommend it to anyone!Parent Review2y ago7 Reviews - Jefferson High School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy experience going here was good. There is a lot of old hate. The hype is from before covid; I will say it is underfunded and not giving a lot by pps, but I think it's all right for what they have. Also, the community is very connected, and they do big family events at least once a semester.Other Review3w ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near Levy code 710.

"Kenton is a very pet friendly area in general. The people and businesses are very accommodating to service pets as well as general pets. Public transit stations are well maintained and plenty of shopping and freeway access nearby."

"We beat down the tweakers when we catch them stealing our mail as a community. Car theft imminent. Morning, day, and night! "

"It’s a great neighborhood, great neighbors. I wish we had more police check in the area due to constant Visits from homeless people. If we didn’t have that big of a problem this would be 100% the place to live"

"The neighborhood is much louder than initially thought when we moved in 4 years ago. The train horn is very loud at all hours of the day, and the playground attracts homeless and suspicious behavior at night (sometimes criminal). The saving grace is the walkability and the great neighbors. "

"There are a lot of dogs in the neighborhood. There's a cute neighborhood pet store, and parks. If your dog is reactive it's hard to avoid other animals "

"Close to I-5, Lombard, and Columbia. Easy to commute downtown or anywhere in northern Portland. Easy access to Vancouver too. "

"It’s easy to get everywhere with the Max station and I-5 nearby. Because it’s close to both Lombard and Columbia I rarely take I-84 and therefore have a more reliable commute when driving East."

"I've lived in this neighborhood 9 years. Do you want to get poisoning from all the industrial facilities on Columbia blvd, do you want to hear the train screaming at all hours? Do you want a home that's been supposedly remodeled? It's all just paint to make things look good. Don't do it, seriously take my advice. It's a terrible neighborhood , the taxes are insane and only getting worse. The neighborhood is not friendly at all and your going to get stuck in an unaffordable mortgage without escape . I managed to sell my home here and am only still in Kenton until I can get out of oregon. Washington here i come"

"It’s a dog friendly community. However sometimes people don’t put their dogs on a leash. I’ve had multiple dogs run up on me, some not so friendly, and even a witnessed a dog fight because someone let their dog off the leash. "

"Lots of dogs. Lots of dogs off leash. Kenton park is great for dog walks. Lots of “homeless” people too which causes dogs to bark a lot at home, so great for security. "

"Lots of dogs. Lots of people not picking up after their dogs. Large park and quite a few off leash even though it isn’t allowed, which is annoying if you’ve got your dog on a leash and unleashed dogs get involved. "

"There are lots of families in the area. A great park for kids. Very dog friendly neighborhood. There are also lots of homeless people, campers, ditched vehicles and theft in the neighborhood. "
