  • Trulia User
"It’s an area of homeless but not as much as downtown. There are plenty of bars and restaurants. Going to the gym is easily accessible. People seem friendly, it’s deceiving. "
  • Trulia User
"Good area to live in temporarily while finding something better and being able to actually observe the different areas and what is available to rent. It is way different here then it was 10 years ago and I’m stunned. "
  • Trulia User
"Brooklyn is one is the SE’s best kept secrets. Quiet, tight knit community, close in with easy access to max, bus, bike trails, and restaurants. The park is a gem and quieter than most though still well maintained. The summer program there for kids is well established and invaluable. Where else in a city neighborhood to kids of all ages congregate to just be kids together in a local park anymore? Two words: water slide!"
  • Ddicks2
"I don’t have a dog but if I did I would love the parks to play catch in. That is all I have to say about this."
  • Traci T.
"I believe the dog owners are pretty repectful. I dont mind them throwing away their poop in our garbage. I have my own dogs and and they love this neighborhood. "
  • Traci T.
"We have a summer program at the park for the kids in the neighborhood that sometimes has a big water slide on hot days. community bbqs and movie in the park."
  • Rebekah Folsom
"Brooklyn is like a quiet little hidden pocket. People don't even remember it's here, even though it's full of great old homes and is RIGHT by the city."
  • Rachel L.
"For being so central, this neighborhood is very quiet and safe. It feels like a magical, peaceful enclave."
