4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would not recommend Lamar Junior High based on our experience. My daughter reported serious bullying, and despite multiple emails and calls, the response from both the school and district was slow or nonexistent. There was a clear lack of urgency, communication, and follow-through. No clear plan was provided to ensure her safety, which is the most basic expectation for any school.Bullying directly affects a child’s well-being and ability to learn, and it should be taken seriously every time it’s reported. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here.I hope the school improves its processes, communication, and accountability so other families don’t go through the same situation.Parent Review3w ago8 Reviews - Smith Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son was sent to this school for his summer school. He was so excited to go to summer school. After, the first day, I ask him how his day went. He told me that "the principal said I am too expensive to be in summer school". I asked him why would the principal say that. His response was "I don't know, may be because I am the only student with a brown face in my class". There was a mix up in his summer school registration and he had to be with the principal for a while that first day, until things were sorted out. To say I was shocked was an understatement. Why a principal would make such statement to a child (he's PreK) baffles me. I followed up with that principal, she apologized and said she couldn't remember saying something like that to him. But he had a very nice experience with his teacher. When I asked about his teacher, he responded "My teacher is really nice and is not like my principal". He didn't want to go to the school the next day until I assured him that he wouldn't be with the principal again. Thankfully, he's not a regular student in that school and I can't wait for him to finish the summer school and leave the schoolParent Review7y ago4 Reviews - Check out schools near Lane Dr.

"They don’t pick up after their dogs poop. Sometimes when mowers cut the grass I can smell it when I go on my morning runs, I hate breathing in the smell of dog poop as I’m gasping for breath. Even though there has been put dog canisters with bags throughout the neighborhood "

"I live in this neighborhood for 6 years now. It is quite, safe, and a family friend environment. Homes have more land, more space between homes. Neighbors sre friendly. We are st 85 ft above sea level, therefore no chances of flood. All businesses are close by. It is fun and beautiful and clean. "

"Lived in various parts of Rosenberg for about 10 years now. A lot of new development in the area, it’s not just all pastures anymore. Great place to live if you like a small town vibe in a budding city. Very close to 59 to get you to Sugar Land or Houston but far enough away to get away from the hustle and bustle. "
