8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFrom the the moment i tried to enroll my children in this school it has been a complete nightmare! They refused enrollment even after the school board said they were good to enroll! The principal laughed as the secretary belittled my family and I! The principal told me she would NOT follow my disabled sons IAP. When i tried to tell the principal that we were treated very poorly she did not care at all! I will get my kids in school and i will NOT stop until that secretary and that principal are REMOVED from that school! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience!I was also notified they got certified as a blue ribbon school because the principal bullies special needs parents until they remove their special needs children out of that school!!!!Parent Review1y ago11 Reviews - Sterlington High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal is condescending and does not listen to concerns. This school does not inform parents of anything , but expects us to know what’s going on. The leadership is a joke. A little power has gone to their heads. I called to discuss my son having GAD and was met with interruptions and being talked down to. He had a panic attack and instead of trying to find out what was going on ( since he’s never been in trouble before) was told he was disrespectful and punished for it. If you don’t give a care about your child’s well being or education, then this is the place for you!Parent Review2mo ago6 Reviews - Sterlington Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has such a “family” atmosphere. Most of the faculty and staff have been here for years, and they know all students by name. My child has thrived here.Parent Review4y ago4 Reviews - Check out schools near Ladelle Loop.

"We have none everyone mainly stay to themselves no gatherings or anything of the sort. We were suppose to have a park but they felt more houses were better and gave us the options of a small common area and really feel cheated "

"I've lived on the outskirts of the Garden District for nearly 3 years. I lived here for a while about 15 years ago as well. The years in between, I spent wishing I still lived here. In this largely rural area, many of the roads were not built to handle the current increased level of traffic, particularly during so-called "rush hour" times, so moving 10 minutes away from the city center might mean adding a 30+min (one way) commute to your day. From the Garden District, I can reach almost destination around the city in about 5-10 minutes. The interstate. The mall. The college. Downtown. Even across the river to West Monroe. "

"Absolutely love my our “Island”. One way in & one way out. It is an actual island. Friendly neighbors & have closed site to keep everyone updated on any issue. Not had any problems since we moved on the Island, almost 2 yrs ago. Only reason I would move would be to down size or change cities. Getting ready for change. Have lived in Monroe area my entire life. "

"My neighborhood is suburban with a country feel. There is plenty of wildlife to watch and trees to give the appearance of living “outside” of the city. Yet you are only minutes away from a major interstate and highway. "

"There isn't anything unique about the neighborhood. Not good at least. There's a Dollar General that was regularly robbed until they made changes and the corner store Now N Save parking lot is always full of bums and drunks. I hate to use those terms but I can't call it any other way. "
