2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBen Foust (principal) is an incredibly lazy person who has had many reports of misconduct with students only to be dropped because he has family on the school board. Kids are sorely mistreated here. The school lunch often has out of date and sometimes moldy food served to kids. Safety is a joke.Parent Review1mo ago12 Reviews - Caryville Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTried to force my son out of special education with him being a fourth grade student with a first grade reading level with no plan as to get him back on track. Wouldn’t let me hold him back or change teachers when there was a problem. My child has multiple health and learning problems. Wouldn’t recommend unless you work there. That’s the only way you can get help or play sports here.Parent Review3y ago3 Reviews - Elk Valley Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school and staff is very friendly, but geared mostly toward sports (football, basketball, etc.) This school was also recently rated as a 4 out of 10. That is not dependable and the high school is much worse ( 2 out of 10). The Anderson County school is not passing, but is much better than Campbell County (rated 6 out of 10.) I do not recommend this as a school for dependability for education.Student Review9y ago7 Reviews - Jellico Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a former student. it was definitely a negative mix. first the learning was bad but not un-readable, if you got lost there was a 65% chance you'd get help or the other chance was a lecture cause you got lost while paying attention. Many or all my teachers were very kind with a few bad apples. most ones i note were Mr. chambers, Mr. miller, Mr. Percy, Mrs. ingram, and both Mr. McPhersons. Teachers also take bullying somewhat seriously, but the amount of bullies are insane (major racism like saying the N word from kids, kids vaping and it being obvious they did, kids fighting over small things) which is possibly one reason for a friend i had taking himself from this world which has left a mark on me forever. the school feels very unsafe at times, one minor argument will result in a fist fight, on the last few days of may, it was fight around every corner. AT times they let some special ED kids in normal classrooms which led to some getting picked on and publicly humiliated cause what they did and say were weird except for a select few. (mostly the girls did it). One kid which was obviously meant for special ed was allowed in normal classes through all 3 years, which led him to have behavior issues, since seeing other kids do it, he did it, hit teachers/kids, no respect unless told, even insulted/joked the dead which led too him getting 2 punches in the face all this happened cause his mom wouldn't put him in special ed when he obviously couldn't be in them, he didn't work or anything. The family stuff is also very much allowed as my mom was able to help me and deal with bad teachers. I dont really recommend this place despite my good and bad memories, please choose homeschool if your child goes here, as it WILL change them and may get them hooked on vape.Other Review1mo ago7 Reviews - Valley View Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school lacks communication in regards to special education. Preschool students use a visual behavior chart in the classroom so are shamed when their color gets moved. The curriculum is dated. No art is offered. PE teacher treats extracurricular jump rope team like a serious sport and drills versus excites. The yearly state exam stresses kids out and parents are encouraged to send in a card for each day? My daughter felt physically ill from anxiety from the build up to those weeks. Children are a product from their parents in this town. If your kids are different, they will stand out.Parent Review2y ago5 Reviews - White Oak Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSmall community with a big heart. Teachers are nice and care about the students. My son went to this school the last 4 years. He has always been taught respect and high standards. The school has the 21st Century Program for after school tutoring, reading, math, art, and science. They also have basketball for student to have things to do after school.Parent Review10y ago3 Reviews - Wynn Habersham Elementary School
