strict admin, football team sucks, teachers don’t encourage kids

I feel it is important for other parents to be aware of our experience with how a serious safety concern was handled at Elsanor Elementary.My child was threatened by another student who stated they were going to kill them. Threats of this nature should be taken extremely seriously in any school environment.As a parent, I expected immediate concern, clear communication, and decisive action to ensure student safety. Instead, the response from the teachers, administration, and principal felt dismissive and inadequate given the severity of the situation.The handling of the incident left our family feeling that our child’s safety and well-being were not being prioritized. The situation became so concerning that we made the difficult decision to transfer our child to another school just two days later because we no longer felt confident that they were safe there.No parent should ever feel forced to remove their child from a school simply to protect them. Schools have a responsibility to take threats seriously and to ensure students and families feel supported and protected.I sincerely hope that Elsanor Elementary reviews its policies and procedures for handling serious threats so that future students and families receive the level of care, urgency, and protection they deserve.

I had a teacher try to explain to the class that Earths orbit is shaped like a hotdog and it takes 2 years for it to go around the Sun. But don't worry they made sure to paddle me for disagreeing.
