Parent Review1y ago6 Reviews - Salt Creek Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall, the schools are fine, but I’m surprised by how much emphasis is placed on i-Ready. It doesn’t truly measure a student’s abilities or subject knowledge. While I understand that some standardized tests, like the IAR, can serve a purpose, I’d honestly prefer to see those phased out as well. With i-Ready in particular, students spend too much time on computers and end up less engaged. I’ve seen bright students simply click through the lessons because they don’t care, while others become anxious and take it far too seriously. Instead of leaning so heavily on platforms like i-Ready, Salt Creek should focus more on directly engaging with students and giving attention where it’s most needed—especially since the student population is small. Less “homework” on i-Ready and more meaningful interaction would make a real difference.Parent Review10mo ago10 Reviews - Stella May Swartz Elementary School
